AFC EAST: Regular and Postseason Predections
The season is drawing near, so naturally it is time to look ahead to the playoffs. No? This eight-part series takes a look at each division and discusses the outlook for every team in the NFL -- in both the regular season and playoffs. (will have to finish reasons later but needed to get last post up).

AFC EAST
TEAM: Pats
RECORD: 10-6 ; Win the Division (won one more common game than the jets to win the tie breaker)
REASON: The Pats have been a top 5 team in the NFL for years but are they finally starting to regress? Id say they are in some areas but they do have Tom Brady and a good offense on paper and even on the field this season if all goes as they hope. One question mark I see is Wes Welker, all signs look good with him but after anyone comes off of two surgeries to repair torn ligaments there are question marks surrounding them. If he is able to get out there and play at 80% at least he can really help them. Second question mark is Randy Moss who seems to be slowly reverting back to his Raider days. We ask him what are you going to do this season? Now besides those two things they have added two pieces who may get a chance to contribute in tight end Aaron Hernandez a good blocking tight end, and Brandon Tate a potential deep threat for Brady.
Now on the Defensive side is where we see some deterioration from previous seasons. First they lost both Ty Warren and Liegh Bodden, There pass rush is now questionable at best, and their secondary is not very intimidating as they try and get younger. Some players to keep an eye on this season though in which if they step up would have an impact like Powers and Lacey did for the Colts last season on defense are: Rookie corner back (CB) Devin McCourty, second year CB Darius Butler, and rookie line backer Brandon Spikes.
TEAM: Jets ; Win the Wild card

Hernandez isn’t a good blocker. He is more of a Dallas Clark type TE…same height and similar weight and has been working w. fellow WR’s
Our 2nd rd pick Rob Gostoawki (spelling?) looks like he will be excellent at blocking and should be great at catching passes.
Alge Crumpler is an excellent blocker who will prob start over those two and provide mentor ship to the rookie TE’s
also i hope our CB’s do step up like yours did in 2009.

To sum up AngelsColts' post..
New England wins at everything.
Jets fall short.
Everyone else fails.
