NFL Draft spotlight is on Von Miller tonight
It's been a hard season for Texas A&M pass rush specialist Von MIller.
A season after leading the nation with 17 sacks in 2009, he has none to this point. That's thanks in large part to a high ankle sprain he suffered in the season opener against Stephen F. Austin.
Now, with only six tackles and a pass breakup to his name on year, Miller is at his healthiest heading into tonight's game against Oklahoma State.
In the A&M 3-4 this year, Miller is the Joker, a linebacker who blitzes and drops into coverage. Because of the ankle, Miller has been able to do neither.
When he's healthy, Miller's first step is good. He consistently beats slow-footed offensive tackles around the edge and gets after the ball. He also has a tendency to run himself out of plays.
As a coverage linebacker, Miller is a total question mark. He came back to school to become more well-rounded as a defender but hasn't been able to do so.
Also to watch tonight:
- The Aggies' Jerrod Johnson is an intriguing quarterback prospect because of his arm. It's Mallett-sized. He's at the top of the next tier guys after Luck, Locker, Foles, Mallett, Ponder, Pryor, Devlin and Gabbert.
- Oklahoma State is slim on NFL Draft prospect this season. Their top draft prospect is running back Kendall Hunter. He's an undersized speed back who may have to latch onto an NFL team as a special teams player/third running back.

Johnson has potential but his mechanics are SO sloppy
"Young men, I have no doubt that you're gonna do well today. But I have 1 favor to ask of you... SAVE JIMMY JOHNSON'S ASS FOR ME!" Lou Holtz
