Boston Globe - Finding Patriot material in this Senior circuit

Tommy Hicks looks at some players from Alabama (the state) who helped and hurt themselves. Among players moving up for Hicks is Alabama (the school) offensive lineman James Carpenter. Hicks nots that Carpenter played four positions last week. That may be Carpenter's future in the NFL.

I always thought Carpenter was a solid player
he didn’t get the accolades of Andre Smith, but I thought he was solid at UA. He got knocked as his athleticism was thought to be absolutely nothing, and at 6"5 300lbs (what he was listed at…he looked a lot bigger) that’s not all that big for an OL to have marginal athleticism.
Also I read the “pre register” one, and it said that Kendric Burney had a down week. Is that a typo? Coulda swore he had the most scouts on his nuts the whole week.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
I agree
I really like Carpenter, especially in the mid to later rounds
he looks HUGE, but looked good enough to play G or RT
Burney is a nice prospect, teams will not like his size but I think he is a nice corner in the mid rounds
