David Wilson of Virginia Tech submitting 2012 NFL Draft paperwork
The Washington Post reports that Virginia Tech junior running back David Wilson will submit his paperwork to the NFL Draft advisory committee.
Wilson has had a break out season after backing up Ryan Williams and Darren Evans in the past. Wilson is currently third in the nation with 1,595 yards rushing. He's run for 100 yards or more in all but two games this season.
"Regardless of my decision, I would like to see where I would end up if I was to take that route," Wilson told the paper.
Wilson has been a fun player to follow this season. On multiple occasions he's had poor first halves only to explode for more than 100 yards in the second half. Before the season he added considerable bulk to his frame to handle the heavier workload. In 255 rushing attempts this season, he is averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
This year, the deadline to submit paperwork is Dec. 17 and the declaration deadline is Jan. 15.
