Generous for Kenny Tate right now. I love him, but that seems high with the injury and the wasted year at LB.

I actually think Tate can find a spot on a lot of teams...
…as a TE cover play. As TEs become more and more athletic, teams need a defensive player who can defend the Jimmy Grahams and Aaron Hernandezes. They need the strength of a linebacker blended with the speed and finesse of a defensive back.
Teams could move towards the 4-2-1-4 look (Patriots), or the 2-4-1-4 (Packers), with the 1 representing the hybrid player. As long as he contributes on special teams, he could have a spot.
That said, it’s still a huge risk.
I fully believe that Tate can be a legit safety in the league. I don’t think he needs to make that huge transition. That would completely ruin his stock.

RB
Im surprised that Lamar Miller RB Miami is not on the list. Was that a mistake or has his stock dropped?
I highly doubt it, but seeing him at 21 is there any chance Jeffrey slips to the 2nd?
I really don’t see it, but I could see Blackmon, Floyd and Jones going ahead of him potentially, depending a lot on the combine and pro days.
Montee Ball
I am impressed with Ball every time I see him play and I think his stats back that up. I know some people think his success is down to the way Wisconsin play but damn he does sure play. I believe he is a 2nd round guy and therefore would have him in my top 100.
"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson
Heard this on TV today: Wisconsin has four different running plays in their playbook.

And yet they run all over everybody
That says something. It says their OL is undervalued.
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."
if the opposition are doing their work in the film room before games they should know what is coming and he still piles on the yards

There's a difference between knowing what someone is doing and actually stopping them.
Perhaps their OL is just too big and talented for opposing defenses to stop the running game, even though they know it’s coming?

Thats my point even if teams know what is coming Ball, with the help from a very good O Line get the yards.

And I believe the differing point here is how much is Ball, and how much is the OL.
You’re taking Ball, Dan and ct17 appear to be taking the OL. I have no clue, I’m just trying to help facilitate the discussion.

Brown is overrated to me
Watching him, it’s like I’m watching Aaron Curry all over again. Neither am I impressed with Osmele.
Either way, why is Bernard Pierce so low?

Forget the 409 wins and 2 national championships. Joe Paterno helped mold thousands of young men into productive members of our society.
Probably because I’ve watched the Temple/Penn State game twice and he was terrible.
Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
Whoah, I went to that game, so I definitely didn't have the best view of things
But man, I came away really impressed. Guy bounced off of a lot of tackles, and poor guy was getting hit at the line the whole time. Yeah, sure, he seemed to run upright, but he also just broke through arm tackles like it was nothing

David Wilson
Finally a ranking that his talent justifies. Can’t find him as a first round talent in any other draft sites so far, but judging from what I’ve seen of him on tape I have no qualms with you slotting him at #18 overall. Good work, sir.

I think Melvin Ingram is low. I'd put him in the top 30, honestly.

Have a hard time finding a position for him at the next level.

I think he could work at OLB in a 3-4
he’s a little big, but his athleticism isn’t bad.

I agree with both your statements
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."
Perfect fit for the Patriots hybrid defense.
Of course, that’s a limited draft value with respect to the whole league, but I see him as a solid hybrid player for the Pats.
Can you break the defensive front seven dow n by 3-4 and 4-3 positions?
I’d be interested in your take on 3-4 rush linebackers.
Also, why is Rueben Randle that low?
Dan
Do you rate the players on pure talent or semi draft ranking?
A middle linebacker and Guard in the top 10 would suggest talent, yet is Luck truly the most talented player in college this year?
I lean more toward the talent spectrum of things, but to that ideal, I’m not going to rank a kicker or something super high.
Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
A MLB, G, and WILL in the Top 10 would be a shocker

Most likely. I’ve just got this opinion in my head that he’s in trouble if he goes to a foreign offense and needs a few years to develop.
Weeden seems to be the kind of player who needs to get to a team where he can quickly familiarize himself with the offense and get going immediately.

The K-Gun run by Indy in some variety would fit Griffin to a tee
any chance Indy selects a different QB than Luck with the overall #1?
NO TYLER EIFERT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
You suck Dan!

Wow, that's pretty racist but correct.

2009 – True freshman. Played in one game (Nevada). Received a redshirt for that season.
2010 – Redshirt freshman.
2011 – Redshirt sophomore.
You are the one who sucks.

That may be true,

I realize injuries hurt players' stock,
but should the kind of injury Crick has drop him that far? I realize it does, but should it? He’ll be the same player after he heals up, and I don’t think the injury will cause him to miss time.

Really? How confident are you in this ranking on him? Not that I agree or disagree I always was under the impression he’d be a late first.
decent list
but i think nick toon is way to high on your list and chris polk is to low .
if its for you it won't pass you
Well, you've accomplished it for the most part.

by CharmCity55 on Dec 2, 2011 3:38 PM EST via iPhone app reply actions
Pretty accurate rankings but...
Your the first that has the underrated Andre Branch at 37, hope he’s there for the Browns. But an injured Broyles at 66 and high second rounder Fletcher Cox at only 69? Also think RG3 will go in the top 7. As an Ohio State fan I can tell you have Mike Adams (Josh Oglesby of Wisconsin is better not to mention Ricky Wagner if he comes out) and Brewster too high.
