BCS National Championship Game may determine Robert Lester's NFL decision
The BCS National Championship Game will decide much more than just the best team in college football. For some members of Alabama and LSU, it could determine which underclassmen will enter the 2012 NFL Draft.
One of those players is Alabama strong safety Robert Lester. The redshirt junior has had an unspectacular season, often taking second billing to fellow safety Mark Barron. On the season, Lester has 36 tackles, 3 pass pass breakups and 2 interceptions.
By all accounts, Lester should remain in school for his senior season. For academic purposes, however, Lester doesn't need too because he's already graduated. But a good performance in the national title game may be enough for Lester to jump to the NFL.
"I feel like I’ve got another chance to go out and prove myself in the national championship," Lester told the Enterprise Ledger. "Depending on that game is what will depend on whether I come back or not."
