Mocking The Draft Podcast

In the first edition of the Mocking The Draft Podcast, we hit on a variety of topics.  Northwest Missouri State cornerback Ryan Jones joined us to answer a few questions. What type of player will Clemson SS DeAndre McDaniel turn out to be? And to finish the show, we each give a player who should have an immediate impact in their first year.

Mocking The Draft Podcast

If there is a topic you would like us to hit on, tell us! We will have at least one podcast per week for the next few months, so I'm sure we can cover any NFL Draft topics you want.

I’d like to hear your opinions on all the top QB’s. The opinions on QB’s this year vary more then anyother year in recent memory

I would like to hear a breakdown of how you scout QBs

What you look for. What makes a good release, good footwork, good vision, etc?

What are the red flags in terms of physical traits, deliveries, etc?

What do you do when you need to compare two QBs from vastly different conferences such as when Matt Ryan (ACC) and Joe Flacco (CAA, non FBS)?

Next week

It looks like next weeks show will be dominated by QB talk. We will be sure to cover everything above and try to get a QB on as a guest.

Topic Suggestion

If possible, in the next podcast can you please discuss where you believe the Redskins will go with their #10 pick. Most mocks I’ve seen have them going QB, and yet it seems that most of the Redskins community is very opposed to picking a QB and would instead opt for DL/OL/WR.

Any discussion on this matter, as opposed to most mocks where the justification doesn’t go any deeper than “shanahan will be looking for (choose position), and (choose player) is the best available at that position”, would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Ok thoughts.

I thought the Podcast went very well. Good length and good flow to it. I think it would be a good idea if we could continue and try and interview a prospect each weak to start the podcast. I thought it went well and was done pretty professional.

Thanks. I apprciate the kind words.

We already have a couple QB prospects on next weeks QB dominated show. I won’t mention names, yet. I’ll email you about the interviews tonight/tomorrow, I’d love to get your help with it.
