Mocking the Drafts YouTube Channel Update
Welcome back draftniks! Hope you all are as excited as I am that the draft is only a month away, which means its time to be finalizing your opinions on prospects. If you haven't checked out Mocking the Draft's YouTube Channel recently , then you are missing out on quite a few new additions. Join us after the break to learn more about our new videos and a schedule of whats to come leading up to the biggest three days of April: The 2011 NFL Draft!
We have five new games for your pleasure, starting with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl which featured Central Florida vs Georgia. Its no surprise that Georgia WR A.J. Green is the best player on the field, but both defenses had fun putting pressure on freshman quarterbacks. DE/OLB Justin Houston from Georgia might be the bigger name, but DE/OLB Bruce Miller from UCF had the better game with 8 total tackles, 2 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks. He also had 2 INTs this season vs Buffalo and Houston, returning both for touchdowns. Don't be surprised to see him picked before the end of Day 2.
Next up is Miami (FL) vs Pittsburgh, or as I like to call it: A side by side comparison of Leonard Hankerson and Jonathan Baldwin. Both have decent showings, making plays on 3rd down with impressive catches and Hankerson making a nice move to get behind coverage for a TD. However, they both show their flaws in the game as well. Hankerson disappears for stretches of the game and drops a sure touchdown on a drive the Hurricanes have to settle for a FG. Baldwin has a chance at a specatular TD catch, but steps out of bounds in the endzone while trying to track the ball down. Both guys are battling to be the 3rd WR chosen and while I like both, I think Hankerson has the edge at this point.
Nevada and Boston College battled it out in one of the odder named bowls, the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. QB Colin Kaepernick has been a very popular guy since the season ended as many out there think he is one of the better quarterbacks in the class. He reminds me of Tim Tebow. Very successful in college, but needs a lot of work before he can be a consistent starter in the NFL. A lot of what makes Kaepernick successful is the threat of him running and using his athleticism to make plays. TE Virgil Green was very impressive in this game and its easy to see why he is on the rise as well. BC LB Mark Herzlich is all over the field and has a nice strip tackle of Kaepernick in the open field.
For fans of teams looking for a big running back to bring into the fold, be sure to check out Kansas State vs Syracuse in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Both Delone Carter of Syracuse and Daniel Thomas of K State have big games running the rock with 288 yards and 5 TDs combined. Carter had 198 of those rushing yards and showed why a lot of people think he will be gone in the 2nd round. Thomas has struggled this offseason with injuries, but his 3 goalline TDs and college career have shown he could be a big back weapon for a team that needs one.
Rounding out our new videos is Ohio State vs Wisconsin. Lots of prospects on both sides of the ball for both teams. The left side of Wisconsin's O-line is fun to watch as both OG John Moffitt and OT Gabe Carimi are highly ranked at their respective positions. Ohio State DE Cameron Heyward was the bigger name going into the game, but Wisconsin DE J.J. Watts had the bigger game, terrorizing QB Pryor all day.

Whatever happened to the
Rose Bowl game being put up?
1st round draft wishes.
Bengals: Blaine Gabbert, Nick Fairley or AJ Green!
Cavaliers: Kyrie Irving and Harrison Barnes!
The video we had for the Rose Bowl ended up being a replay that cut most of the game out because of time constraints. Our aim is to include every play, that’s why it didn’t go up and we added the TCU vs San Diego State and Wisconsin vs Ohio State games.
