2011 NFL Mock Draft 11-20

11) Houston Cam Jordan, DE, California ——— New DC Wade Phillips is a 3-4 guy and needs a 5-technique player opposite "Super" Mario Williams. With J J Watt off the board, Cam Jordan gets the call.

12) Minnesota Julio Jones, WR, Alabama ———- Yes, the Minnesota Vikings are thin at QB, Safety and OT. Underachieving Bryant McKinnie is a liability is pass protection. Ryan Mallet will be given consideration as well as Jake Locker. However, Julio Jones ( a similar player to Rice) is too good to pass up given the tenuous relationship between Sidney Rice and the Vikings Front Office.

13) Detroit Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebreska ———— GM Martin Mayhew will be thanking the football gods if this Prince of a football player falls to 13. Amukamara is a player that played some press-man in college and so his transition should be a smooth one.

14) St. Louis Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois ——— Liuget has been flying up Draft boards after teams took a closer look at his tape. Liuget plays with power and finesse and can play inside or out. Liuget can take pressure off of Chris Long who is starting to come around but has fallen short of his projected impact when you considering he was the 2nd overall selection just a few season ago.

15) Miami Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama ——— Ingram reminds me of Emmitt Smith from a visison perspective. Tony Sparano needs a move-the-chains, sustaining type RB to ease the burden on Chad Henne. Neither Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown are expected to return to South Beach. Ingram’s a no brainer pick.

16) Jacksonville Ryan Kerrigan, DE/OLB, Purdue ——— I expect the unconvetional Drafting methods of GM Gene Smith to continue. Smith will reach and take Ryan Kerrigan of the board as insurance and eventual replacement for Aaron Kampman.

17) New England Aldon Smith, DE/OLB, Missouri ———- Smith showed the ability to get to the QB at Mizzou. The Patriots have lacked a feared pass rusher since they traded away Richard Seymour. Maybe Belichick can develop Aldon Smith into that Elephant end in the mold of Willie McGinnis.

18) San Diego Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa ——— Ryan Kerrigan was the target of GM A J Smith. I think they get a better player with the selection of Adrian Clayborn who is as relentless as Kerrigan with greater upside.

19) New York Giants Mike Poucey, C/G, UF ——— Poucey fits a need, can play all 3 interior position and while not as talented as his brother Maurkice Pouncey will have a more than solid NFL career.

20) Tampa Bay Jimmy Smith, CB, Coloroda ——— Justin Houston will garner huge consideration. Aquib Talib, a very good CB, has some issues to resolve with the Dallas PD, not to mention Roger Goodell when a CBA is agreed upon. Ronde Barber is done after the upcoming season. The need for a potentially very good cover CB compels the Bucs to select Jimmy Smith.
