Jaiquawn Jarrett NFL Draft scouting report
Jaiquawn Jarrett
6'0, 198 pounds | Free safety | Temple
Strengths: Jarrett played in a cover-2 system at Temple and is at his best in the middle part of the field. Has a lot of experience and is a gritty, tough player. He has good instincts to diagnose plays. Rarely bites on fakes and play action. When he does, though, Jarrett has good change-of-direction skills to turn and make a play toward the ball. Is fundamentally sound in pass coverage, staying low in his pedal and opening his hips. Likes to play near the line of scrimmage a lot.
Final word: Playing for a Mid-American Conference school, Jarrett may have to refine his game for the NFL. His style agains the run in the MAC is well enough, but may not work at the next level. Where Jarrett is best-suited is a cover-2 scheme that doesn't rely on him to be the best player on the defense.

Jaiquawn Jarrett
Another safety prospect that I’d love for the Ravens to take a look at in Rds. 4-5. He has some tools and if coached up could be a player in the NFL.
