QBs
Where would Jimmy Clausen rank in this year's QB crop? Definitely inside the top 5, in my opinion, but how high? I think Bradford would be number 1 in this crop. Assuming the top 5 are (obviously this is debatable in itself) Gabbert, Newton, Locker, Mallett and Ponder - Clausen seems very similar to Gabbert, to me, skillset wise. There was a lot of talk last year about how "pro-ready" Clausen was. Where does the community come down on this?

Hard to say since ND changed HC and installed different O.
My guess is he would drop like Locker, still lots of potential but not a probable top ten.

Well, if you ignore the his year with the Panthers I would say he would be far and away #1 this year. None of the prospects this year have anywhere near is accuracy. If you downgrade him for his struggles in Carolina I think you could make the case that he falls to #3 behind Newton and Gabbert, but no lower than that. But that’s the nature of the draft, no such thing as a sure thing.

agree on ranking, not on evaluation
Clausen is the #1 QB in this draft. Pro system, more consistent career, good enough arm.
But I don’t downgrade him for his season last year. Worst team in the league, with rookies as the #2 & #3 WRs, injuries at RB and OL. Peyton does not take that team to the playoffs.
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
I would take Ponder, Locker, Dalton, Gabbert, and Mallet over Clausen
I did not like Clausen at all last year. I thought he lacked arm strength and leadership.
IMO Gabbert has a much higher ceiling and more potential than Clausen. It’s not even close in my mind.

Gabbert can retain info better than Clausen
Gabbert’s football IQ is much higher than Clausens
I'll roll up
