2011 NFL Draft Defensive Value Chart

It is very rare to get a good look at an NFL teams draft board.  However, it appears that a lot of teams are using a value chart which gives a breakdown based on round value.  The Value Chart shows what players fit a specific round which helps teams identify if they are reaching for a prospect.

For example, I have Cameron Heyward as a 1st round defensive lineman so if I were to select him in the 2nd round he would equal great value.  This chart would come in handy if a team was looking to address specific needs but would be less valuable to a team that likes to pick the best player available.  NFL teams need to utilize two boards in order to be completely organized and ensure they make the right selection.  This board is developed after months and months of evaluations and gathering information.

After the jump, you will find my defensive value chart which covers 3 rounds.  Check it out and provide some feedback.

No DeAndre McDaniel in the top 3 rounds?

or are ou accounting for character concerns here as well?

If you reply to a comment/post/fanshot of mine, I will more likely then not respond to it, unless you come off like a d-bag.

You still have Bowers as the top DE?

Or are these not in order other than the by-round grouping?

they are in order. Despite the knee questions I still have him as my top defensive end… also yeah character plays a role in these evaluations.

OK thanks

then I can see McDaniel drop out of this, but if I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone go for him in the 3rd, possibly late second

lol I responded to the other thing without this one

I can see why you did that, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go late 2nd or 3rd

So Houston and Ballard tested positive for Marijuana

Think they will drop to the Niners 2nd and 3rd round?
