Trent Richardson NFL Draft prospect notes
Trent Richardson
5'11, 224 pounds | Running back | Alabama
First word: Following a sensational debut season in 2009, Richardson was slowed throughout 2010 due to injuries. Just don't judge Richardson by his production. He's one of the greatest weapons in all of college football. He showed it last season against a Penn State defense that is known for stopping the run. Richardson runs with power and speed, but also has some shiftiness to his game.
Games viewed: (All 2010) Penn State, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, Michigan State
Bold statement: If he enters the 2012 NFL Draft, Richardson will be the first running back picked.
Trent Richardson
5'11, 224 pounds | Running back | Alabama
Notes:
• Runs with a lot of power. Although he runs the ball high, Richardson is hard to take down and routinely has multiple tacklers on him.
• A one-cut and go running back who could excel on a zone blocking scheme.
• Consistently keeps his legs moving after contact and has the power to extend plays a few yards. Because of that, Richardson will be able to take the ball in short-yardage situations.
• Is known as a player who works hard and takes the game seriously. Even after head coach Nick Saban said he was the Alabama starting running back in 2011, Richardson said he's still fighting to make sure the job is his.
• Richardson is a workout warrior who's weight room ethic translates to the field. According to reports, Richardson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds, can bench press 465 pounds and "easily" squat 600 pounds.
• Has a propensity of busting big plays on runs, receptions and kick returns.
• An asset returning kickoffs, Richardson averaged 26.78 yards per return last season. He's not a classic elusive kickoff return man. Is more Josh Cribbs than Devin Hester.
• Missed time in 2010 with a knee injury and had other bumps and bruises throughout the season.
• Richardson is adequate as a pass receiver. He's not used a lot on swing plays, but is a good check down option in the short middle area.

Richardson
He looks like a John Fox type of back and could be on the Broncos radar in next years draft to pair up with Moreno .
