And I like his predictions…

Flacco's first 3 years vs. Brady's, Manning's and Brees' first 3 years

Flacco threw for just 21 fewer passing yards than Brady and tossed four fewer interceptions. Flacco threw for 1,655 more yards than Brees, two more touchdowns and four fewer picks. Manning, who averaged 88 more passes per season, threw for way more yards and touchdowns than Flacco, but also tossed 24 more interceptions.

I gave you Knile Davis

because

1. Knile Davis is arguably a top 10 pick.
2. Knile Davis is arguably the best back in this year’s draft.
3. Knile Davis is not going to slide out of the first, unless he’s terrible this year.

So he’s 1 BAP, and how great would it look to have a two-back punch in Baltimore. Knile is a very fast, and very quick back, with great size(similar to Fred Taylor). Willis McGahee has been wearing down more and more each year, and with Knile selected, Willis can be cut, and Knile can step in. Knile isn’t a truck, he’s got the size, but he struggles with breaking tackles. If he can get behind a good back, and a good back coach. He can be molded just a little into a great back. Then you can have a MJD and Fred Taylor mix in Baltimore, but both younger guys.

He’s definitely a great player, but we have much more pressing needs and I just don’t see us using a 1st on a back. We do use the BPA philosophy, but I see us using our 1st on defense and rather than take him we would probably move back if there was nobody else we loved at that pick. We need to find Ray’s replacement, we could use another S and could use a DE unless one of our younger guys really step up. We also have to replace Birk because this more than likely will be his last year, so I just can’t see us going RB.

Knile Davis is so overrated its unbelievable, he benefits from huge holes made by the offense, and when those holes aren’t there he has no push and no speed to run it on the outside

Never really minded the Jets until Rex Ryan became their coach. Now they are cocky punks who have never won anything. They have not even been to a Super Bowl in over 40 years. Just a pathetic organization that is going to be AFC Wild Card for the next 10 years and never get to the Super Bowl because of a very, very bad QB and over confidence.

Its just that you can't call the Jets out for not backing up the talk.

And that is what makes the talk acceptable. There will be those people that say, “well, they still haven’t won the SB with Rex,” but it is clear that we have what it takes. And calling Sanchez a horrible QB is just an act of pure negativity. The dude is still so young and he has already outplayed Brady once and has done more than held his own.

by JetKing55 on Jun 28, 2011 2:10 PM EDT up reply actions

well I'll never consider Sanchez to "outplay" Brady

since head to head Brady has to face your defense lol

Lions – If Stafford stays healthy, they can make a playoff run.
Bucs – They have almost made it to the playoffs multiple times, this year they’ll beat the Saints.
Browns – Decent Defense, Good O-Line, above average back, now they need a #1 receiver, and a good QB, may already have the QB.
Cowboys – They did bad, because they QB got hurt, and the team fell apart.
Raiders – You may not notice it, but they are a team also on the rise, and losing Nnamdi is only a minor set back.

Really like the Redskins pick. Just one thing to nit-pick, no matter who is picking 1st, Luck will be the 1st player taken. (Said as if that was a bold statement:o)) rec.d

Luck

may regress a little bit this year, making him a sure top 10 pick, but not a definitive #1 overall. And I don’t think Carolina would select a QB twice in two year with #1 overall. Justin Blackmon gives Newton a great #1 for years to come.

Makes sense if you think that Lucks stock drops

but if not, even if Carolina has the 1st pick, then Luck will be the guy. Carolina, or whoever else is drafting 1st that doesn’t need a QB, would likely get a boatload of picks in exchange for that pick. Look what Cutler cost the Bears……

Jags win the division, LOL

Don’t think Indy will go OT in the first again. They have Castonzo for the LT spot and Ijalana might kick out to RT down the road, plus 19 is quite early for a RT.

WR and DB seem the most likely at this point.

Colts

Definitely a wide receiver. DB is pretty good although depending on what happens in free agency this year, they could pick up a new safety in the 2nd. Still, with several question marks and expiring contracts at WR, they’ll be drafting there in the 1st round.

@the Colts drafting #19

OMG! Did Peyton get hit by a bus?

Ok, on a more constructive note… won’t be another OT. WR seems most likely. I have heard Fuller from Texas A&M compared to Reggie Wayne. Have to like that comparison. SS also has to be a concern even if they do sign Mikell in free agency. Ray Ray Armstrong is probably the only one worthy of the first round though, so they may wait.

Don’t mind Richardson for the Giants. We’re all waiting to see what they will do with Bradshaw, which may depend on his FA status. Some good MLBs after our pick, which may look good depending on how Goff plays this year. There’s a lot of interest from fans in the center from Ohio State, Brewster?

You should probably make it more accurate and have the playoffs right where each division is represented or if there is trades then specify what the trades were.

yea tough to argue against Richardson

he’s pretty much Bradshaw + 20lbs, more speed and he doesn’t juke his way into 5 yard gains when he can get 20 just by going straight ahead.

But you know they’ll be drafting Janoris Jenkins there.

Fail all away around

Terrible mock draft, not even close to what will happen and major LuLzzZZZZZz at Janoris Jenkins in the 1st and Malcolm Floyd. Both will not be picked higher than 2nd. Sorry, ain’t happening. No Brewster or any Guard? We’ve seen a major rise in the drafting of guards and centers the last 5 years and Brewster is a certified stud. Yeah, next time your bored, punch yourself in the balls and stay away from anything resembling football. Or maybe just give up watching football.

Oh and LLLLUUUUUULLLLLZZZZZZ at Blackmon at #1. OMG fucking MONSTER FAIL!

Fail all the way around on that post.

Floyd is a monster and was prob. one of the best WR last year. Jenkins will easily be picked in the 1st and will be one of the top 3 CBs taken. LLLLLLUUUUUULLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Blackmon is #1 talent Monster IMO

Oh and...

Travis Lewis to NE? Hahahahahaha with Mayo and Spikes in the middle, where is he gonna play? OLB? He’s a pure 43 OLB and wouldn’t come near an OLB spot in a 34. Don’t ever much a draft again. And no offensive tackles in the top 10 when everyone and their mother knows this draft class has a far superior OT class than in 2011. Never ever, I mean never ever watch football again. I mean never, your kids won’t even live this down, thats how bad this mock is.

I like Worthy

but the only people who put him in the first are banking on him having a breakout year, and even then top 5 could be too high. I wouldn’t mind Jeffery or Kirkpatrick there. WR could be a need next year and CB needs a long term answer

Jags win the division…yeah I bet
No way no how Luck doesn’t go #1, if the Panthers(or somehow Packers, Falcons, etc.) end up with the #1 it will be traded and that is coming from a Bills fan.

Woah woah woah

you have Blackmon #1 overall? He’ll be lucky to be a mid-late first round pick… He lacks first round athleticism for the position

Don’t take this the wrong way, I love the kid, but he lakcs top 10 WR ability, i.e.: Jones and Green.

Crabtree was a top 10 pick and Blackmon is more athletic then him

should’ve been higher too.

by Rorschach44 on Jul 1, 2011 8:40 AM EDT up reply actions

Right

but was he #1 overall?

My point is not arguing whether he should be drafted higher or not, but that he won’t be. The only way a WR will be drafted that high today will be a Megatron like WR, not a Crabtree. I think he could go in Crabtree’s range, although I wouldn’t bank on it, but again #1 is too high.

BTW, for Crabtree going 10th, that was in an incredibly weak draft. If he were in the 2010 draft, or even the 2011, I think he could’ve gone much lower. Good player but not the type of prospect you draft high

Crabtree didn't go that high cuz he didn't work out

he was injured and fell. If Blackmon is healthy in the offseason after he has another gigantic year, he could go #1 if Carolina’s selecting first. So could Alshon Jeffrey unless he or Blackmon run something absurd like a 4.65 or higher.

At this point I don’t see a defensive player or an OL worth the #1. Its all about what the top team needs. Carolina could need anything, but its not out of the question for a WR to be #1. And Blackmon seems like he could be the best.

Also on the weak draft stuff, that’s hindsight. Its more bad drafting then it is a weak draft. Crab is most definitely a franchise WR, its just tough to see with a revolving door coaching staff and a crappy QB situation.

And Prince was a safety because he was too slow to play CB

Then he ran in the combine. No more safety talk.

I recall Salas getting the too slow label last year as well. He ended up with a respectable 40.

It’s all relative to what else is available. Considering QB is out, if I were Carolina at #1 I would take a long look at Coples, regardless of which other DEs they have under contract.

yeah by taking Cam Newton this year

they made the # 2 team next year very happy(if Carolina gets @1 again)

What is Alshon Jeffrey then a Sloth? What Blackmon has is athleticism.

Texans draft another DE??

Im sorry thats just not happening…

Drafting for the texans
Right now I would be looking at: Safety, ILB, DT, WR, OLine
I think we could pick up a top flight WR if we get good value for one.

Also No way in hell Jacksonville wins the division.
Its going to be Texans-Colts battling it out for 1-2.

With the Jags and BESF’s battling it out for for 3-4.
Im going to go with Jags pull out 3rd in the division.

Jags win the division and Ill buy a Jags jersey and pretend to be a Jags fan for the next season.

Paige-Moss is not a DE like JJ Watt is

Watt will be along the line, Paige-Moss is a pass ruhser so he’ll be an OLB. I dunno if you all need that (tho you probably could never have too many great pass rushers) but the Texans are not “drafting another DE” here.

I think they do need one.

I beleive Mario Williams will be there constant rusher. And a smaller tweener guy like Paige-Moss would fit well in the other spot.

its is more likely that we win the division

then your texans. You have a great QB, a great WR, and a good RB, and still can’t pull it together, I don’t think god can help you guys make it to the playoffs.

Kuechly does not fit a 3-4

I love his instincts but unless he puts on serious pounds without sacrificing what little speed he’s got I wouldn’t touch him.

Matt Kalil would be an excellent pick for us there.
