Ladarius Green NFL Draft prospect notes
Ladarius Green
6'6, 236 pounds | Tight end | Louisiana Lafayette
First word: Among non-BCS players, there are few better than Green. He's a legit playmaker as a tight end, catching 44 passes for 794 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. Averaging 18 yards per catch in 2010, Green is much more than a dink and dunk tight end. He's a long, fluid athlete who can make people miss in open space.
Being physical at the line of scrimmage is where Green is lacking. Louisiana Lafayette likes to line Green up off the line in a two-point stance. When he's close to the box, good jamming defenders can hold Green up at the line.
Games viewed: Georgia, Florida Atlantic
Bold statement: Green compares favorably to Jared Cook of the Tennessee Titans and could get drafted higher.

Notes:
• Green is at his best when split out wide off the line of scrimmage. Because of that, it's a hard to gauge how he'll do in a pro-style system.
• An exceptional athlete, Green should test out really well in the offseason.
• Routinely makes spectacular catches all over the field. Shows good agility and body control to adjust to bad passes.
• Has good but maybe not elite speed for a tight end. Still, Green is dangerous after the catch. He's strong enough to break tackles by defensive backs but elusive enough to avoid linebackers.
• Is built much more like a big wide receiver rather than a tight end. At his size, it's hard to see Green making much impact on the run game.
• Needs to start running crisper routes and take advantage of his ability to fool defender with his athleticism.
• Struggles some getting off the line of scrimmage, both because of his somewhat lacking strength and because of technical flaws.
• Has a frame that looks like it can get much bigger.
• A little behind as a blocker, which will hold his stock down some.
• Has had some injuries in his past. Sat out two games last season with a sprained ankle and three games in 2009 with a neck injury.
• Coaches have said Green is a respectful person who puts in a good effort off the field.

Any indication where his speed is?
I could see him drop 10 pounds and play wideout if he runs anything below a 4.7
I just gotta say: I haven’t seen any of his game (don’t catch a lot of ULL games in the Northeast) but his production while at a really small school is impressive.
Raiders suck
Chargers are whiny douches
Chiefs are meh
I like him as a good big WR
As a matter of fact I’d like about 4 of these guys on my team. Catching the ball in traffic makes up for many inefficiencies in speed or separation.
