Red Flag Alert: Mike Adams

The Red Flag Alert will focus on NFL prospects that have situations that might raise concerns.  These could be injury issues, character problems, runs in with the law, or anything that might impact their future.  One thing to keep in mind with the Red Flag Alert is that some of the accusations will be just rumors but the majority of our reports will come from reliable sources.  Don't expect to see a report about a rumor about a former college roommate or something to that affect.  However, the fact remains that every rumor or issue could impact a players draft stock.

Most are aware of the off the field issues at Ohio State but may not know that the problems extended past Terrelle Pryor. One of those other players impacted was offensive tackle Mike Adams.  Adams will miss the first 5 games of the season for his role in the selling of championship rings, jerseys, and awards.

Adams is one of my top rated tackle prospects but of course his 5 game suspension hurts his stock.  This issue will have many questioning his decision making skills.  NFL teams are not looking for players that might be a distraction and that is obvious by the recent draft fall of players like Ryan Mallett.  Adams also needed this season to show more consistency and solidify his draft position.  The final games of the season arguably may be the most important of Adams' career.
