Rhett's Mock 2.0

Been about a month or more, I'm bored.

Star-divide

1. Cincinnati Bengals - Andrew Luck - Dalton may not cut it, Luck and Green thats a good fit.

2. Tennessee Titans - Ashlon Jeffery - Locker will need a big receiver to throw too.

3. Washington Redskins - Landry Jones - Honestly, need a QB, they should of grabbed Gabbert.

4. Minnesota Vikings - Justin Blackmon - Ponder is going to need a #1, he doesn’t have one right now.

5. Carolina Panthers - Quinton Coples - Charles Johnson 1 side, and Coples on other, beast.

6. Denver Broncos - Jerel Worthy - Need more 3-4 personnel.

7. Seattle Seahawks - Matt Barkley - Tavaris Jackson? Barkley, Rice, and Miller is a solid 3, and a solid RB, and thats good offense.

8. Buffalo Bills - Jonathan Martin - Need some line help, Fitzpatrick may still be the answer.

9. Miami Dolphins - Trent Richardson - Reggie Bush isn’t a feature back, Bush and Richardson would be good.

10. San Francisco 49ers - Dre Kirkpatrick - Cut Clements, bring in the rookie wage scaled replacement.

11. Cleveland Browns - Vontze Burfict - Need some linebacker help.

12. Kansas City Cheifs - Marcus Forston -  Need a nose, Forston can bulk up a little, and be good in 3-4.

13. Arizona Cardinals - Matt Kalil - Got your QB, now get that Premier LT.

14. Oakland Raiders - Nick Foles - Need a QB, seriously.

15. Dallas Cowboys - Chase Minniefield - Need secondary bad.

16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Luke Kuechly -Need Ruud’s replacement.

17. Indianapolis Colts - Matt Reynolds - That old line, is turning new. Few years, when a new QB comes in, will have a young established line to develop along.

18. Detroit Lions - Alfonzo Dennard - They need secondary.

19. Houston Texans - Kenny Tate - They needed secondary, got Joseph and Manning, a FS is the last piece.

20. New England Patriots(New Orleans) - Donte Paige-Moss -  Got that OLB they want/need.

21. St. Louis Rams - Jeff Fuller - Need that #1 receiver, MSW is a #2.

22. Chicago Bears - Michael Floyd - Also need a #1 receiver.

23. San Diego Chargers - Manti Te'o - Needed ILB.

24. New York Jets - Zach Brown - Also wanted/needed that OLB blitzer, Brown is very fast, and can to the QB in a heartbeat.

25. New York Giants - Mike Brestwer -  Need O’Hara’s replacement.

26. Cleveland Browns(Atlanta) - Brandon Jenkins -  Need a DE.

27. Jacksonville Jaguars - Stephon Gilmore - This was hard, Gilmore can be considered a reach, but he has a lot of talent, he has decent speed, but he is a physical, smart, CB, that is also good at jamming and blitzing. He can also play FS. With Mathis’ contract expiring, this can be his replacement.

28. Baltimore Ravens - Dont'a Hightower - Need a LB, Hightower is very versatile.

29. Green Bay Packers - Jared Crick - Need a DE, Crick is a DT, but can easily learn the 34 DE.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Alameda Ta'amu - Need a nose.

31. New England Patriots - Knile Davis - This is questionable to some, but smart move. Mallet is the future of the Patriots, the offense will be more of a balanced run/pass then just give Brady the ball Offense, Mallet and Davis were teamates, and played well together. They can develop together, and when Brady is done or traded, Mallet steps in as an above average QB, with a good running game, and expect a young receiver brought in soon as well. A young #1, a young QB, and a young RB, all developing together will set this team up for the future.

32. Philadelphia Eagles - Travis Lewis - Need that OLB.

If it's deemed spam, it gets deleted.

Can I suggest including the explanations with the picks?

It’s very confusing trying to figure out this way.

We probably overpaid

I did not realize it was that high – Goodwin went for less. But unless Baas is a complete failure, Brewster will not get a 1st round grade from the Giants. Unless Diehl at LG is the goner.

Lewis or another 4-3 LB could get a look. Or a RB or WR.

but it may be highly incentive laden, and also it may be a back-loaded contract so they may not have to pay him a lot early

its frontloaded

and by most accounts, he was really good for the Niners it seemed the C position was his calling. It is higher then I thought it’d be, but that’s the price of free agency. Plus I highly doubt that any lineman, if they’re healthy enough, will be bad playing next to Snee and Diehl. They know the offense too well and Baas has been through coordinators every year the past 6.

Great pick for us. A lot better talent at MLB in this draft class and hoping we take advantage of that.

Cotls

Took two o-line this year and grabbed a C UDFA (Kirkpatrick) whom I expect to eventually replace Saturday. While I would not consider the line “set” they will not go back to that well again so soon. This pick almost has to be a WR. Reggie Wayne is in the last year of his contract and I question the wisdom of signing a 34 year old WR to a long term deal. Give me Broyles or Fuller in that spot.

WR or DB is most likely imo.

they've said they are starting him out as a guard

but he’s got the talent to play tackle and if he’s doing well then Ryan Diem isn’t a huge barrier to gaining a starting tackle spot.

though they basically said the part about Diem sucking when they made him take a paycut.

Diem, Ijalana

I guess Diem never received all of the one-way plane tickets Colts fans sent him.

Ijalana has 36 inch arms. That makes him a tackle. He might be a guard for now, but his skill set (long arms, quick feet) I think is better suited for tackle. He never seemed like a guy with a strong push to move those big NTs in the AFC.

Let’s also take a moment to consider the highly improbable scenario of the Colts picking 17th and the Jags in the playoffs as AFC South champions. By his order, the Colts are 3rd in the AFC South. The squad is too talented for that to happen

With Kirkpatrick and Trent Richardson avilable

I’d like the Broncos to go after either one. I know Worthy has got a full season to prove himself, but despite all the talent his production has been underwhelming. Richardson/Kirkpatrick are beasts, Saban coached, and fill needs while achieving BPA.

Maybe Worthy proves himself top 10. But my money’s against that

Mmm... Ruud is being replaced by Foster/Mckenzie

One a former 3rd rounder and one a current 3rd rounder. It’s reported that Mckenzie is doing really well in TC and he has the respect/leadership of the Bucs Defensive roster. Foster may start next year at WLB, when he picks the playbook up. We will need a CB (depending on Talib’s situation) and an OG (a LG). Are there any good LG’s like Pouncey was this year?

they should of grabbed Gabbert.

Altho the extra pick they received in that trade was what allowed them to keep trading back & stockpiling picks. IMHO Gabbert was the best QB in the draft.
