Steelers
I don’t love the pick. I’m not sure the Steelers need a T. We just signed Willie Colon long term for RT. At LT we have a stop gap of Jonathan Scott to give time to develop Marcus Gilbert to develop. The only positions that make sense in the first for the Steelers, IMO, are NT, S, CB, LB (probably in that order).
Back on the Sweed train. Choo Choo!

CB depends on how the young guys do. Also, WR could be a target if Sweed does not have a good year

Seems like it was the BPA
Really, there aren’t any NT’s that warrant a pick there, same with safeties. Though there were CB’s

Any of you Steeler fans realize the Browns won the division?

I think the Giants are looking for a CB next year.
I’d draft Chase Minnifield. I think Aaron Ross is in his contract year and we might walk away from him, and I think CB is a need for us.
Or they might draft a G or T. Kareem Mckenzie is getting old; we don’t know what we have in Beatty, and Diehl may not pan out at LG.
So those are the 3 positions I see the Giants looking out for in the 2012 draft
CB?
We just drafted Prince, and Webster has several years left on his contract. Ross will likely be gone, but Thomas is still around. I could see a pick to replace him if he leaves in the future, but I’m not sure it is a priority right now.
If Beatty is a failure, then maybe LT gets a look. But Brewer is probably the future RT. We have options at LG.
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
I think it's priority.
Because TT and Ross are free agents; TT is likely to demand a lot of cash if he has a similar season to last season. Webster is getting paid tooo much cash; and if he has a year like he did last year, the Giants will try to renegotiate his deal and if they can’t, they may cut him. I don’t think we’re going to invest a lot of many at that position. I don’t think we can.
Brewer is a project, not the future RT. Yes we have options @ LG, but if we have the opportunity of drafting an impact player, we just might.
Brewer is not a project.
unless you call someone who’s being groomed for the spot in 1-2 years a project. He was drafted to be a future starter at T, just like Beatty.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
Beatty was drafted in the 2nd round.
Brewer is a project. Were not saving the RT spot for Brewer. If he wins it, ok, but if there’s an opportunity of getting someone better we’re going to take that.
where you're drafted doesn't matter
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
Brewer was picked lower for a reason
Right tackles don’t warrant a 1st round pick. The only 1st round right tackles were left tackle failures. Brewer was viewed as a right tackle only (although Reese insists otherwise) and had an injury history that dropped him on many boards.
Similarly a left guard has to be very good to be picked in the 1st round. Especially at 17.
Thomas we have some control over, because if his contract is up, he’s a RFA. I see CB more likely if they decide they want a cheaper option than Webster.
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
I dunno about Fuller being BPA there
that’s the only way they select a WR
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
I can see WR
We need to see how Smith comes back, and Manningham’s contract is coming due. It depends how the young guys develop as well.
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
I can see WR though
if the Jags were to struggle and were picking in the Top 10 which seems unlikely at this point, I wouldn’t mind them taking Blackmon there
Yea I wouldnt mind Blackmon but I think a lockdown corner would complete the D.
Cox might already be that I dont no.

Is it finally time to draft a QB?

Chiefs drafted Justin Houston..
and Gabe Miller both OLB’s..plus Cameron Sheffield comes off IR…so I think more towards ILB or RT…IMO
Sorry this is crazy. Gore will retire a niner and already ended his lockout.
13. 49ers – Trent Richardson, RB Alabama.
Let Gore holdout…
Not to mention that we drafted Hunter this year who we expect to replace Gore after he retires.

Hunter?
Your correct that Gore ended his holdout and reported to practice, but he will be 29 next season. And Hunter.? He’s like 5’7", 200 lbs, too small to be a feature back. He’s more of a 3rd down/change-of-pace back.

Hunter has been looking excellent in training camp
and how are you too short to play RB?

He's overall not big enough,
to take 20+ carries per game. And he’s good but to say he will be the feature back taking 20+ carries per game isn’t likely to see. I could be wrong but I don’t see it happening.

Yep, DB or WR is right for Indy.

I think this is the frst time
as a Broncos fan I would ever say this, but you may have us drafting a little too low. I’m not saying its impossible, but as a realist I’m thinking between picks 5-12.
As a ND fan as well, I would love to get Te’o, but we just drafted Nate Irving in the 3rd and the FO said they had a first round grade on him, so unless something very bad happens I doubt they draft his replacement, but Te’o would be BPA, and they love BPA, and I love Te’o.
I can’t believe I would even think of saying no to Te’o, but we did draft 3 LB’s last year and don’t really seeing us go there again so early. In your scenario, I would prefer Hosley, Gilmore or Fuller there

Yeah, I did my full projection of 2011 results the other day and came up with Denver at 4-12. That give them the 5th draft pick behind Washington, Carolina, Cincinnati and Seattle. Rough year for the Broncos I’m afraid.
FYI – NE (14-2) over NO (13-3) in the Super Bowl. FML… and it’s in Indy.

no offense
but get used to it. I know Jags fans think their team is pretty good, but no one else does.
Not trying to be a jerk, but from what I’ve seen, read, and heard, no one is expecting much from your Jags

Devin Taylor is nice
We’ll probably going to look at Chase Minnifield though because we have to re-sign both of our corners next year and we may just let one go.
Me and Matt Cassel just - you up, dog!
Yup, the Saints' pick. He wasn't aware of that apparently.
