2012 NFL Draft center rankings: Little separates Micheal Brewster and Peter Konz

It's still early in the college football season, but now is as good of a time as any to update individual position rankings for the 2012 NFL Draft.

Ohio State's Michael Brewster is the top center eligible for the 2012 NFL Draft, but Wisconsin's Peter Konz is close behind. Brewster is a little more athletic and fluid and Konz has more power and pop to his play. It's likely that no centers will be picked in the first round of next year's draft.

Note: The position rankings aren't currently in line with the site's top 200. After each position ranking is released, a new top 200 will be published.

Star-divide

1. Michael Brewster | 6'5, 295 pounds | C | Ohio State - Prospect notes

3. Ben Jones | 6'3, 300 pounds | C | Georgia
4. William Vlachos | 6'1, 290 pounds | C | Alabama - Prospect notes

You really think no Cs in the first?

the top 3 there are all 1st round caliber lineman and we’ve seen plenty of Cs go in the first round recently. Not saying they go top 20 or anything but I’d think at least one slips into the first

I think the flaws in Brewster will keep him out. Konz could develop into it, but I’m not sure he’s coming out. Obviously it’s super early. Jones isn’t an elite center, as he showed againt SoCar, unless you have a different third.
