2012 NFL Draft guard rankings: College tackles Washington and Glenn look best

Photo

It's still early in the college football season, but now is as good of a time as any to update individual position rankings for the 2012 NFL Draft.

The two best guard prospects are playing left tackle this season, so that should say a little about the class. It should also say something about those players – Brandon Washington of Miami and Cordy Glenn of Georgia. Washington is a natural guard but playing tackle out of necessity. Glenn has played tackle more, but has shown he doesn't have the lateral agility to stat outside. The best pure guard is Stanford's David DeCastro, a mauling guard who is the lynchpin of the team's running game.

Note: The position rankings aren't currently in line with the site's top 200. After each position ranking is released, a new top 200 will be published.

No Kelechi Osemele?

Or do you view him as a tackle prospect? I know he’s played tackle at Iowa State but the consensus is that he’ll play guard in the NFL.

He’s on the tackle list.

A 6'8" guard at Colorado?

What is in the water up in Rockies? They have had some real behemoths on their O-line the last few years.

Take it you have Barrett Jones at tackle?
