NFL Stars of the Week - Week 3
This week featured so many incredible performances on both offense and defense. I again had to not include a 150 yard 1TD performance and a few 350 passing yard performances. Another great week for receivers.
Offensive Stars
Star No. 1 - Wes Welker, WR, New England Patriots - Welker was an absolute beast, posting 16 receptions for 217 yards and 2TDs. Beast mode
Star No. 2 - Torrey Smith, WR, Baltimore Ravens - Smith became the first person in the history of the NFL to have his first three catches go for touchdowns. Some of it was due to awful coverage but a lot was due to his speed. He finished with 5 receptions for 152 yards and 3TDs.
Star No. 3 - Jermichael Finley, TE, Green Bay Packers - Finley looked better than he ever has. He posted 7 receptions for 85 yards and 3TDs.
Honorable Mentions: Matthew Stafford, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Darren McFadden, Fred Jackson, Victor Cruz
Defensive Stars
Star No. 1 - Jared Allen, DE, Minnesota Vikings - Allen posted 5 tackles and 3 sacks for 21 yards. For the first time all year he looked like himself.
Star No. 2 - Aaron Ross, DB, New York Giants - Ross had 4 tackles, 3 Pass Deflections, and 2 INTs for 19 yards. After being benched last week, I think its safe to say he will not be benched again.
Star No. 3 - Pat Angerer, LB, Indianapolis Colts - Angerer was the best player on the defensive side of the ball last week. He was involved in 21 tackles. He posted 12 solo tackles and 9 assisted tackles. He is the main reason why the Steelers could not get any run game going.
Honorable Mentions: Kenny Phillips, Kyle Arrington, Morgan Burnett, Calais Campbell, Ray Lewis
Dud of the Week - Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals - Dalton returned to himself after a great game last week. He was 17 for 32 for 157 yards, 2 INTs and a meager 40.8 QB Rating.

Dud of the week
I’m waiting to see how many say Moise Fokou. Fell on his arm, starting going to the bench, decided instead to sit down and force the game to be stopped. Returned 2-3 plays later.
If faking an injury to stop the game is the worst thing ever, I would think stopping the game unnecessarily for an injury that does not require it (if it was an injury at all) must at least be halfway there.
Or are you only angry when the sports media tells you to be angry?
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."
Actually
I thought it was smart football.
1) He was hurt. It was obvious he hurt his arm
2) He started to go off the field, but didn’t think he was going to be able to sub in time.
so he did the right thing – and since he was actually hurt on the play, I think it was legit.
yes of course
an Eagles play does it, its smart.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
How was it obvious he hurt his arm?
Because he grabbed it? I do not see his name on the preliminary injury reports.
And as you said, the primary reason he stopped the game was because he realized he could not get off in time. Not the injury itself.
Justin Tuck has some type of neck spasm. Hurts him all of the time. Can he stop the game on every play?
The only reason I am arguing this is to point out that this is not a black-and-white issue, and if stopping the game is wrong, you also have to consider all of the ways in which the game can be stopped.

You could add DeMarcus Ware as a stud of the week
He took over that game in the 4th qtr. & dominated (unfortunately)
What were his stats?

As my coach, Coach Toal says, "if your tougher than them and you play harder than them and you whoop their ass but only win by six, I don’t give a shit. You still won the game. The media might not like it but we don’t give a fuck about the media, all we care about is winning."

I think it was only three tackles & one sack
but he was a monster the entire game & just took over the 4th qtr.
You can put the niners offense as a dud
watching it makes me cry

When Jim Harbaugh says "more is more" I think he is trying to say Moore is more.
Well except for VD
he played well
