Rock out with your mock draft out: Andrew Perloff
Trades in mock drafts are funny business. They tend to be unrealistic, done so only to make the mock maker's job easier. Personally, I stay away from trades in my mock drafts. One person who did not is Andrew Perloff of Sports Illustrated/The Dan Patrick Show.
He projects the Cleveland Browns to trade their two first-round picks to the St. Louis Rams in order to draft Baylor's Robert Griffin III second overall. The Rams are then projected to take Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon fourth and North Alabama (via Florida) cornerback Janoris Jenkins with the 22nd pick. Although there are questions about Jenkins' character, this is a scenario Rams fans would have to love.
Perloff's mock drat is rife with surprises, which is a nice change. Among them, he has the Jaguars taking Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still seventh, which is somewhat unlikely. He also has the Seattle Seahawks using the 12th pick to get Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill. That's a possibility given quarterbacks always rise in the draft and Seahawks certainly need one.
One draft dropper in Perloff's scenario is Alabama running back Trent Richardson, who goes 17th to the Cincinnati Bengals. He later gives the Bengals South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore. If Stanford guard David DeCastro is off the board when the Bengals pick, expect them to go running back/cornerback with their first two picks.
Read Perloff's full mock draft here.

Not a fan of his mock. The only way we draft a G first round is if we don’t re-sign Grubbs which he makes no mention of. He said we could also opt for a WR like Reuben Randle at that pick. I don’t think I have ever even seen Randle mocked in the 1st ever, so don’t know why we would draft him in the 1st.

Just can't see the Browns trading 2 1sts
They can outbid all the other potential teams without it.
Anyway, as a 49er fan.. Wright Wright Wright!
Draft: 1. Kendall Wright 2. Trumaine Johnson
FA: Smith, Morgan, Brooks, Rogers, Snyder

I don’t see the Browns trading up for anyone but Luck, and that’s not gonna happen. I’m hoping RG3 falls to them at 4. We’ve got too many holes to fill and need these high picks to do it.

Even if they would trade up though
Why offer the 1st rounder? Who can offer more than their 2nd rounder? Washington and Miami are the bidding competitors, but they pick lower in both rounds and do not have additional picks.
If Either of those teams offered their 2013 picks to move up to 2 I think the Browns would just say.. ok we’ll stick with our 3 picks in the top 36 this year and go sign Flynn, Orton, Hoyer, Campbell.
There seems to be some prevailing square hole – square peg logic to the whole Cleveland giving up it’s 2nd 1st to get a QB, but when you actually look at the specific draft order, the picks, the players in the draft and free agency, it makes almost no sense whatsoever that they’d give up that pick. Much more likely that they’d give up like a 3rd and a 4th rounder if they decided to move up.

They aren’t going to have to give up any picks to get RGIII if they want him. The Rams and Vikings will ask too much for they’re spots, and the Browns FO is going to let the other teams know if they want to trade out of the spot and what it will cost. I have faith , if the Browns don’t want RGIII, they will be the spot to trade for him. No team is gonna want to bet the ranch on griffin, Shanny’s not that dumb.

Horrible pick for the Jags
I would much rather have Jeffrey.

Man, I think Devon is really kick ass, but not I would pick him 7th
If Penn State fans and alumni truly believe that chant that echoes throughout Beaver Stadium ("We are....") then it's time to show it.

Don't like Barron to the Jets
at least not at pick 16. Safeties shouldn’t go that high unless they are Eric Berry, and Upshaw is not close to what Berry was coming out. Barron is also a strong safety, and the more pressing need for the Jets is Free Safety. He has Courtney Upshaw, Nick Perry, and Trent Richardson available at the Jets pick and they all would make better picks than Barron.

Too much thinking about need, not talent
Barron is a smart safety. That has value, but not this early.
Perloff must have a very unique big board
becuase as a whole I think most people would be sprised at where he has certain players going

how did Michael Brockers go that far up draft boards...
I don’t even remember his name coming up as 2nd/3rd round grades before
No one thought he was coming out
He’s a redshirt sophomore. Doubtful that he will.
yeah I did a little research after that
the redshirt sophomore status explained a lot lol
Devon Still that high? Yeah no way.
Not as big a fan of his as some people. I can see why some are excited by him, but I don’t see him being a truly great player.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

DT is literally one of the only positions beside RB that the Jaguars have good starters and depth
They don’t have big name guys, but they get the job done. That is the worst mock pick I have seen for the Jags so far, even worse than giving them RG3.
Horaay Hightower!
may he provide molasses and sun dials to all!
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
How is Spikes doing anyway?
If we DO get Hightower, it’ll be nice to have someone to compare em with.
Greaaaaaat.
He can’t be the big reason they blow though. Might have to do with their atrocious secondary. He seemed to lay some good hits on the Giants when we played em.
he's actually a pretty big reason why they stink, especially against the pass
for some odd reason the Hoody has him playing MLB with Mayo on the outside. He’s so damn slow and teams have an easy time finding him when they pass the ball.

Agree
This is pretty much ideal. Trent + CB/S = gold.

TE could be drafted early
but I don’t think Allen provides value at 25. Especially so when you see Sanu, Wright, Cox, Osmele, and Ingram available there
C'mon, join us, there's plenty of koolaid on the Broncos bandwagon for everyone!

With ya there.
There are no apostrophes in plurals.
A lot is two words. Allot can be one word but it has another meaning.
The only time you really want to use "myself" is when you are the recipient of your own action. Usually you're better off using "me."
Your is not the correct contraction of you are. The word you're looking for is you're.
It's anyway, not anyways.
But if you only remember one thing...

Pass-rushing DL to GB looks good.
