Report: Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson still pondering NFL Draft
The may still be a surprise entrant in the 2012 NFL Draft. According to Joe Schad of ESPN, Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson is still considering whether or not he'll enter the NFL Draft.
As Schad noted on ESPN College Football Live, Wilson is "seriously considering" the draft. Wilson completed 63 percent of his passes as a junior, for 3,638 yards and 24 touchdowns.
If he decides to go pro, Wilson could be the third quarterback selected after Stanford's Andrew Luck and Baylor's Robert Griffin III and could be a first-round pick. Wilson rarely throws bad passes, gets get ball placement, has a strong arm. He showed his toughness throughout the season, his first as a starter replacing Ryan Mallett. Wilson is still learning to pick up blitzes, changing his protection and readjusting himself in the pocket. His throwing mechanics may also need to be tweaked some, as he tends to drop the ball down at times.

Stay in school, be right up there with Barkley next year. That's what I'd tell em, but what do I know? Lol

I'm for the bird in the hand
Maybe being in the NCAA helps him develop more completely, but being a first-round pick this year is a pretty good consolation prize. Next year, if he stays healthy, he still has to compete with Barkley, Landry Jones (sort of), and who knows what other QB that might come out of the woodwork. I say if he feels like he’s a lock for the first round now, he should go pro (but I could be convinced otherwise).
Kila's slash for Apr 20 to May 4, 2011, right before he was sent down: .276 / .344 / .448
