Record 65 undeclassmen in 2012 NFL Draft
The NFL released the list of underclassmen and as expected, a record number are in the draft. There are 65 in the draft this year, which tops last year's record of 56. This is the fourth year in a row the number of underclassmen in the draft has increased.
The list features a few new names that weren't previously publicized. That includes Minnesota tight end Tiree Eure, Purdue guard Ken Plue and Oklahoma State defensive back Johnny Thomas. The most intriguing new name is McNeese State safety Janzen Jackson. Before transferring from Tennessee, Jackson was expected to be the next Eric Berry. But he had some off-field issues and was eventually dismissed from the team in August. For McNeese this season, Jackson had 31 tackles, two interceptions, two tackles for loss and five pass breakups.
There are also two names mysteriously missing in Utah State running back Robert Turbin and Troy defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi. We're trying to dig around and see what happened with these two.

As a Golden Gopher fan
Tiree Eure, TE, Minnesota
Who?
As of 1/17/2012
No longer feeding the Buffalo Rumblings resident troll.
No longer responding to said trolls passive aggressive posts.
Not even if he baits by replying to a comment of my own.
Not even if his reply is devoid of all logic and assumes opinion as fact.
Jacquian Williams,
Why do you think he went unnoticed in last year’s draft with about all mock draft I saw projecting him being an UFA. And what do you think the giants saw that everyone else didn’t that made them so eager to draft him in the 6th round when they probably could use the last pick on him. Do you think there were more teams that had him as a 6th rounder?
Maybe he will be a steal for some team
Wasn’t he like the top HS prospect a few years back.
No Idea why
Plue chose to come out, yes he did start his first 3 years but last year he was benched and never started a game last year due to some unknown reason, thus giving him another year.
See Ball, Get Ball. Quarterback Has Ball, Sack Him.

I read that Trotter was quitting football
He’s not exactly a draftable prospect.
Glad to see Konz on that list.
2012 NYG mock - 1: Chase Minnifield CB, 2: Kevin Zeitler G, 3: A.J. Jenkins, WR, 4: Neiko Thorpe S, 5: Brandon Bolden RB, 6: Rishard Matthews WR, 6: some random LB, 7: BPA
A lot of these guys are true seniors
Does a true senior need to declare, if he has another year of eligibilty? Has that been the way all along?
Wolf. Wolfgang Wolf
Yeah, if you have eligibility you have to declare. I think the NFL calls it petitioning for the draft.
Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
Thanks I've been including them anyway but I only just now realized this
That said I’m at 69, Shepard, Massaquoi, Polk and Turbin, plus the above.
Wolf. Wolfgang Wolf
Are we sure this is the final list?
Cause at least one guy (Chris Polk) declared publicly on January 2nd but isn’t on the list.
