Ranking the 2012 Draft Prospects by Position - Centers
The center class is very good this year and features a couple of high draft picks.
1. Peter Konz, Wisconsin – Konz had an incredible year at Wisconsin, opening up holes for Montee Ball while also protecting Russell Wilson. He will likely be a first round draft pick.
2. Ben Jones, Georgia – Jones had a stellar year at Georgia and due to his great play, he will likely be a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick.
3. Michael Brewster, Ohio State – Brewster came into the year as a 1st round prospect but had a rough year. Due to his potential, he will still be a 3rd to 4th round draft choice.

4. Philip Blake, Baylor
5. William Vlachos, Alabama
6. David Molk, Michigan
7. Quentin Saulsberry, Mississippi State
8. Ben Habern, Oklahoma

I love everything about Konz except his durability issues.
Molk is too small to play anything but a man-power blocking scheme. Same for Saulsberry.
Konz is the best college center i've seen since I've actually payed attention
With the new CBA bringing down rookie salaries, it makes drafting lower paid positions like center and guard more reasonable with mid 1st round picks. Konz and Jones both might go in the first… Konz maybe in the top 15.
Gimme 1 round!
I think only the top three will ever be starter caliber
This is a very shallow center draft imo. Any guard – a much deeper draft class – who can show he can snap will boost his draft stock.
