Chiefs
Martin is a good pick if DeCastro is already gone
Jones/Zeitler/Allen make more sense in the 2nd round
Poe or Iloka in the 3rd
Ta’amu/Martin in the 4th
Where is the Chiefs 5th round pick? Green/Bradham there
Brock Osweiler in the 6th

I can't see the Chiefs going for an undersized C like Molk either

I really like Osweiler
If I had to pick any mid-late round QB i think might be successful, It would be him. Very raw and needs coaching but lots of potential.
Iloka is another player. Saw on an interview he did on kcchiefs.com at the senior bowl. Sounds very intelligent and seems to to know his shit. Has versatility as well
KC Draft prediction: No OT taken in first round

Chiefs Redraft
Round 1. I cant argue with Martin in this situation.
-
Round 2. I just don’t know if Cox fits into what Crennel wants to do with his NT in a 3-4. I could see Zeitler here but I think Pioli will be happy with putting Hudson at C and keeping Lilja at LG. With the ILB’s left of the board and the best TE’s available I could see a Burfict/Allen/Cole pick here.
-
Round 3. Drafting an OC would be a later round option if at all in KC. There are some good NT prospects sitting here. If KC went TE/ILB in round 2 then Poe/Ta’amu/Chapman would be solid pickups. The choice would be who Crennel/Pioli best fits the style of play for our system
-
Round 4. I like the fact that you are looking to S depth in KC because that is a need. The issue I have is that I think RB depth is a larger need. I think the RB will get more work and would be more valuable at this point in the draft. Doug Martin would fit what KC is looking for in a compliment back to Charles.
-
Round 5/6/7. This is where you fill in the rest. S/OG/OC depth…
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
Jags
very poor job. The trade in the first is a very steep price for the bears to get a G. Not saying I dislike it, but t is just stupid to even think the bears would give up 2 firsts and a 2nd for a G.
Onto the picks:
1)Jeffery may have nice size and all, but there are just too many questions about him. Rather snag value and need with Kendall Wright who might, although it is unlikely, be gone by the 19th pick. Michael Floyd also could very well be a better pick at this point.
2-1)Jared Crick?! WHY?!! Dude is a 3-4 DE coming off of a major injury that will likely drop him into a later round. Much better options could be had such as Vinny Curry, Dwayne Allen, Bobby Wagner, Brandon Boykin, etc.
2-2)Much of the same from the first pick holds, but Potter might not inherently be such a bad pick.
3)Not really going to criticize this pick. Personally, I like it a lot.
4)Egnew is pretty good value, but when guys like Cam Johnson and TY Hilton could still be had, the value of Egnew is not good enough.Josh Norman and Isaiah Pead might also be better value than Egnew at the pick.
5)Yet again, value is apparently ignored. Rainey is an interesting player but there is equal, if not better value at positions that are needs as well. Donnie Fletcher, Gerrell Robinson, Marvin Jones are three guys that stood out to me as better guys to take with the pick.
6)Not going to sell me on the merits of drafting a punter, particularly this year with a substantial number of very promising punter prospects.

I Can Understand Your Reasoning For the Crick/ Rainey Picks
If we do draft a WR in the 1st with Blackmon off the board, we will mostly pick Jeffery because of the maturity level of Floyd. We all know that Gene Smith wants guys who can be leaders on/ off the field.
as i said to someone else
I can be pleased very easily, if only people thought trough the picks. It is not hard to please me when it comes to mock drafts, but people just do not seem to make good picks for the Jaguars.

I agree with this statement
My draft would have been
1-Kendall Wright Baylor
2-Vinny Curry
2-Potter
3- Orson Charles/ Brewster
4-Shaun Prater
5-Marvin Jones
6- Bequette
Still like the effort though

Not a bad draft for the panthers, but i
doubt josh robinson will be avaialable in the 5th round. His stock will rise with a good combine. Casey Hayward is good value in the 5th round in your mock draft. I doubt dwight Jones is avaialable with the panthers 2nd founder with the texans needing a wr to compliment Andre Johnson.

seems weak to me. first 2 picks coples, and a wr? DE then WR is kinda of a luxury pick with DT and CB being much greater needs. and no CB until round 4?
And two 5’10 cbs, NO thanks. imo terrible draft for Panthers. OL will be our first pick, i am pretty sure about that.

i agree about the draft being bad
but i completely disagree about O-Line. I highly doubt we get O-Line this year

I rec'd this
for the sheer amount of work involved. Love the Bills draft.
Sidenote: The Bills have either the Seahawks 5th or 6th round draft pick this year, as final compensation for the Lynch trade.

Really i didnt like it
-Didn’t rotate the picks
My picks(going by these rankings):
1: Upshaw OLB (but would prefer to trade down for Perry)
2: Nate Potter OT
3: Orson Charles TE (because will have the 8th pick in round)
4a: Cam Johnson DE (i think he will be great, a lot of good moves)
4b: Josh Norman CB
5: Casey Hayward CB (In a heartbeat)
6: Juron Criner WR (Another super steal)
7: I don’t know what CHIX will come up with
Seattle Pick: (5thor6th) Brock Osweiler QB

I too love his Bills picks
Get: 1) best pass rusher (IMO), 2) get a potential QB, 3)Coby Fleener…love this dude, and 4) Josh Norman…a good potential CB
I would be elated!
I agree, very good job
These picks are pretty good considering it is 7 rounds. Sub out Minnifield, Dwight Jones, or Hosley for Hightower and I would be very happy. I don’t even hate Hightower that much, I think he has skills, and people are making him out to be slower than he is on the field.
Thompson is a steal in the 2nd. In the 4th, I’d rather have Schwartz from Cal (don’t see him anywhere), he outplayed Bergstrom in the Senior Bowl practices and Bergstrom has tiny arms. But the idea is good.
Bradham flashed amazing athleticism last week. At the end of the 5th, great deal. Whitley I was not impressed with this season, but we need a safety and in the 6th who can argue. Moye is a great pick in the 7th.
This may be the best mock I’ve seen from a non-Giants fan.
2012 NYG mock - 1: Chase Minnifield CB, 2: Kevin Zeitler G, 3: A.J. Jenkins, WR, 4: Neiko Thorpe S, 5: Brandon Bolden RB, 6: Rishard Matthews WR, 6: some random LB, 7: BPA
It wasn't awful
I really liked the Polk pick in the 3rd, but seeing Hightower mocked to us makes me hit my head on my desk. Hightower isn’t a bad player, and I’m not saying he wouldn’t be good, but we don’t need “good” from our first round pick. We have enough young, talented LB’s on our roster to make me scream if we pick one in the first round. Or the second round for that matter. Like you said, Jones, Minnifield, and I’d throw in Sanu or Dwayne Allen, and we have a pretty good draft here.
Chargers
I actually really love this draft for the chargers. Although I love have preferred them getting Whitney Mercilus or nick perry because they probably will sign either mccneil or gaither for the tackle position. Also I would rather them get Case keenum instead of b.j. coleman, but I like the idea of them getting a quarterback late. Good draft!
Steelers
They really need a NT in the first few rounds, not a hundred offensive linemen.
"If you havin' dragon problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 arrows but my knee took one."
NT
That was the main issue I had from the Steelers standpoint as well. I don’t see them taking a HB in this draft, either. I’m sure they’ll bring in a few FA RBs, though.

Not to mention
I dont think we go HB at all. I dont even think we get a reciever, especially one that early.
Not grabbing a LB hurts too.

Colts
a lot depends on what they are doing scheme-wise with the D, but I can’t see them putting a top pick into another OT. Castonzo and Ijalana are set to be the bookends. They would be way better off taking Minnifield, and probably still taking Johnson in the 3rd since if I remember right he’s a good option for a conversion to safety.

I don’t like a lot of the players, but understand most of the picks as far as position. The Datko pick is the one I object to most though. I agree with shake, this will probably be a CB like Minnifield, but if Sanu does fall that far I would be all over him.
Not crazy about the Malik Jackson pick either. Doesn’t fit unless we are changing defensive schemes; which is possible. Colts have spent a lot of time looking at TE/H-backs during the Senior Bowl. Perhaps this would be the pick to use there.
Given the board, I would have done the following:
1.) Luck – QB
2.) Minnifield – CB
3.) Kelemete – G
4.) McNutt – WR
5.) Vlachos – C
6.) Koger- TE
7.) Cattouse – SS

Redskins
First off, huge props for the time & energy it took to put together a seven rounder, well done. Secondly I think you will find that fans of many teams love the job you have done for their team & a few others are not quite as thrilled… Sorry to say but I am in that 2nd category, I think that altho RGIII is an awesome prospect that giving up our 1st, 2nd & 3rd in this years draft & the 1st & 2nd in next years is too much. Also in your draft the offensive line of the Redskins was never addressed. Washington has one legitimate starter on their line, the rest are marginal, mediocre at best & under performing. I thought that Pead in the 4th & Forston in the 5th were good picks altho Pead is very similar to Helu that they drafted last year. Good job on your mock & including trades, you can’t make everyone happy ….

Thanks
I had to do 2 drafts. The 1st was a rough draft. I didn’t realize that I didn’t give an offensive lineman to the Redskins.
No problem....
& after what the Falcons gave up for JJ last year & all the hype surrounding RGIII, you might be right about his trade value. If you do another tho, throw us a Guard or two…..
But moving from #6 to #4, and from #26 to #6 is different story.
by SerbianPanther on Jan 29, 2012 8:27 PM EST up reply actions
WHAT???
What are you talking about? The redskins moved up to Clevelands #4 & takes RGIII, I’m cool with that. I then see this happening.
I think you guys trade with Cleveland @#4 and take RGIII, then at #6 Cleveland trades with Jacksonville at #7 – getting there 2012 2nd & 4th picks with a 2013 3rd, With the Jags taking Martin or Reiff..
1. @ #7, Cleveland Selects D. DeCastro – OG. @#22 We take A. Jeffery – WR
2. @ #36 – C. Minnefield – CB, @#38 D. Jones – WR, @ #39 R. Lewis – DE
3. @ #68 – T. Carder – LB, @ 70 – L. James – RB
4. @100 – F Alexander – DE & @ #117 – C. Messina – LB
Thats the first 4 rounds. Not Sexy either but extremely solid, Addressing all true needs, OL, WR, LB, RB, DE, CB. The 5-7th rounds, another RB, OL, WR, LB, Or DE

The trades and draft are a Dream that I’d love to see come true.
Actually I see da Jags giving up a 2nd to move the spot. Blackmon is a monster upgrade over your current WR’s, as he would be to Clevelands WR corps, and thats why a 2 instead of a 3.

This kind of a trade would be horrible for the Redskins.
5 very high draft picks for 1 player is not going to rebuild this team. Let someone else get fleeced for RGIII.
The same can be said for Cleveland if they had to move up to #2 to get him. It all comes down to – Are you close to being done rebuilding and feel that your close to being there, or at the starting gate. In Cleveland, we opened the gate and took a step or two in the rebuilding process, we aren’t there by a longshot and RGIII would be ruined by the time we were ready. So if you dont want to trade for him, I’d bet that the Seahawks, Cowboys, or Chiefs would.

I’m sorry but that is the worst draft for the Jets I have ever seen. You addressed their issues only twice, OLB in the 1st and WR in the 5th. You have them drafting 2 HB, a DE and a DT.

LOL, Broncos wouldn't take a C in the draft..
They have JD Walton who anchored arguably one of the best O lines in the league this year.

it's really not that crazy actually.
Are O-line wasn’t as great as it was made out to be. Here’s a really good breakdown of our O-line:
http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/fattening-up-on-the-offensive-line-part-1.
There is two other parts to this and it’s a great look at our line done by guys who used to write on MHR.
Walto has improved a lot from his rookie year but when he lined up against a good DT like he did vs. Detroit, Buffalo and twice against New England he could not hold his own. He is someone that needs to improve a lot.
I am a fan of a team in the NBA, MLB, NHL, and NFL. I haven't seen the playoffs since April 28th, 2008 (1st round exit by raps). I haven't seen playoffs past the 1st round since January 26th, 2006. Stop and think about how insane it is. And depressing.
I agree I think Walton and Beadles are too inconsistent and its not completely out of the question to see them upgraded.
However 3 O lineman is over the top as well as two WR.
Broncos will draft at least 1 front 7 player maybe even 2.

Can't see getting a C with Devon Still going one pick later.
I could see a good blindside RT for Tebow but a center in the first would be too much of a luxury pick. Konz might well be a BPA at 25 but again, not in this scenario with Still still available.

Worst draft I have seen for the Vikes.
We’ll take wideouts in FA, as well as a corner.
We’ll need a OT,CB, LB, FS, & NT.
Also I’d almost guaranty that Speilman trades down in the draft. Cordy Glenn would be the body type OT he would like.

Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
I respect the effort
But if the Cowboys give up two first round picks for Kirkpatrick, I will disown them. It’s been well chronicled that the Cowboys have changed their draft philosophy to taking the BPA — as they did last year. They have (on paper and in the press, anyways) committed to building through the draft. I think trading next year’s first for a guy who is not a shut-down, number one corner flies in the face of that new-found way of thinking.
Yes, you can make the argument that Jerry has a bad track record of abandoning his plans the moment someone jangles their keys in his face, but I think Garrett has brought some much needed stability to that franchise.
You put a lot of work into this, and I’m in no way trying to disparage your effort. I just disagree with that one move.

Cowboys
Great effort but I wouldn’t approve of too much here. Trading up for Kirkpatrick is an annoying meme that I can’t see happening since I feel that by the time the draft rolls around he will be falling in the draft anyways. That, combined with the Cowboys not once addressing their front seven strongly turns me off to this draft. But then again, I am probably in the minority of the Cowboys fans so other fans may disagree with me.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
Kudos for the effort to put this together, but I agree about the Cowboys
Giving up a 2013 1st round pick to move up 2 spots from 14 to 12? Way too steep. Especially considering this draft is very deep at CB and Kirkpatrick may not be what they want with their focus on character. In the scenario up to pick 14 I think they would look at Ingram or Brockers if he rates as high as some suggest. Or Konz, possibly after trading down a few spots.
by HarrisburgCowboyFan on Jan 29, 2012 8:27 PM EST up reply actions
I agree.
I think a trade down might happen or they stay put and take a D-Lineman. Brockers or Poe (if his combine is good). I see both rising the draft boards. With the gossip of moving Rat to DE I think they will take a NT in the first few rounds.

Cwoboys give up next year’s first to move only 2 spots? Redskins 2 1sts, 2 2nds and a 3rd for 2 spots as well? And trading with the Browns who supposedly would be in the hunt for RG3 too?

Agree with AV23, don’t think thats to realistic. I would hope that if Burfict fell that far they would consider taking him.
Would rather have Konz C/G than Osemele G. Konz could move to G and be a nice backup to Pouncey.
You have Dontari Poe NT going to Minnesota in the 4th. Don’t think he will fall that far,but in this scenario I think the Steelers would pick him in the 2nd and definitely by the 3rd.
Like Audie Cole ILB but only in the third and love Chad Diehl FB in the fifth.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks trade down.
But there is no way that they take Dennard in the first. For one, he’s probably not even worth a first round pick after an inconsistent senior year, Senior Bowl, etc. Secondly, CB isn’t a major need for the Seahawks. Brandon Browner is ~average and Richard Sherman just had a year as one of the best corners in football. Lastly, the Seahawks like bigger corners and at a shade under 5’10", Dennard doesn’t fit that profile.

Re-starting the official Buffalo "Draft a quarterback in the First Round in 2012" campaign.
The Niners
Came out of the draft without safety depth, which is probably the biggest weakness on this team, and without a single pick spent on upgrading the line.
We were one of the worst teams in the NFL at pass protection, and also the 4th worst team in the NFL at running for “tough yards” which is 2 or less on 3rd down, 4th down, or ‘And Goal’ situations.
Unacceptable.
Also, we won’t be looking for Justin Smith’s replacement just yet. He’s playing the best football of his career and only got more dominant as the season went on. Barring major injury he’s got at least 2-3 years left in him and that is way too long to sit a #1 pick.

Adding on: Why would they get a Kicker in the 7th?

Colts have the first pick of rounds 1, 3, 5, and 7 and the Rams have it in 2, 4 and 6. Small detail but maybe it matters.

I kinda like the Texans draft on this one
I’m just not sure that they’ll take 3 WRs in this draft. Sure, I can see Kevin Walter, Jacoby Jones, & Bryant Johnson all gone, but Lestar Jean was someone they liked this preseason & he’ll be given a chance to compete for a spot, plus he was widely said to be the hardest guy to cover during training camp. Trindon Holliday will probably be given his last shot to make the roster as a WR & return man. Jeff Maehl might also be in the mix for a WR spot. If we did take these three WRs, it would be interesting to see how the competition goes. Maehl & Owusu would probably end up on the practice squad barring any surprise performances in the preseason, & I doubt Holliday makes the roster, unless he’s moved to RB in a Darren Sproles type of role. This would be an interesting situation leaving Andre with a bunch of rookie & 2nd year WRs behind him

Why are the Giants drafting a DT?
In the second round? The Giants don’t need one. They are getting Marvin Austin back next season from the IR and they move Tuck and/or JPP there on different downs. They really don’t need one.
For the Rams.......let me think about it......(shoots himself in the head........10 times)
Still rec’d for the 7 rounder w/trades. I could never do this. We need O-line, OLB, and DT. Even if we did go Blackmon in the first, these other positions have to be well represented or we’ll suck even longer. Also we got a 7th rounder from Cleveland and we get the 1st picks in the 2nd, 4th and 6th rounds. I doubt that would affect our choices much from the looks of this though.

Cowboys
If Dallas wanted to move up from 14 to 12 it wouldn’t cost 2 first round picks. It would cost pick 14 and their 5th round pick.
1. Kirkpatrick is an alright player but will probably drop as the draft approaches and will probably end up at safety anyway.
2nd, Ben Jones isn’t a terrible pick, but is a little bit of a reach. Vinny Curry, Irvin, or Winn would have been better picks.
3rd, I agree that Dallas should take a QB in this draft to develop but Cousins in the 3rd round is a waste of a pick. Maybe I’m in the minority but I really don’t see him as anything more than a career backup.
4th, Matt Reynolds is not a good pick. Nothing against Reynolds but Dallas already has two young and controlled tackles so unless you see him as a guard he doesn’t make sense.
5th, Marvin Jones is an alright pick. In the 5th round I really don’t have a problem with taking a guy who could develop into a starter in a couple years. WR isn’t a big need provided they resign Robinson.
6th, Waiting until the 6th round to address what I consider a need is a little foolish. A safety is probably where a safety should be picked up and the 6th is where a developmental QB should be picked up.
7th, Why is Dallas taking 2 WR’s. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Props on the 7 rounds but I would be highly disappointed if this is what Dallas came out with.
I think you adressed alot of the needs the texans have
but alot of the individual players you picked dont nessessarily fit the texans profile.
The defensive tackle you picked for us in the first seems good fit and value. I like the pick.
Second round: Too high for a guard and the texans prefer smaller more mobile linemen who can pull.
Our offensive line is good because of the system so in draft position this is of lower value.
Third round: I think a wideout pick is great, but wideouts in our system are asked to be stud blockers and tend to be slightly larger. Looking for someone big here.
Andre Johnson: 6’3" 226
Jacoby Jones: 6’2" 214 lbs
Kevin Walter: 6’3 218
Also I cant necessarily speak from the front office’s perspective I think we are looking for a guy who can take over as a number 1 receiver. ’Dre is getting older and has missed a few games due to injury. We need a guy who can step up for us when he goes down and can become an eventual replacement for him.
4th round: Free safety.
Cant say I know much about the player here but I would welcome some additional FS depth for sure.
As for scheme I again dont know much but I do remember hearing Wade Phillips prefers 2 guys back there who can cover well.
5th round: Wideout.
Like the pick. Dont know much about the guy. hopefully he can catch.
6th round: Again Wade Phillips likes 2 guys back who can cover well. So I hope this guy can. I don’t think we need 2 safetys though. We have 1 guy for depth already and if we picked up 1 more in the draft we should be fine and can shut it down. Might consider going linebacker OLB or ILB.
7th round: Its a crapshoot this late in the draft but I think the texans would be well served picking up a punter/kicker here. Special teams is always important.

Good job on the 7 rounds
The trades are way out of whack though.
Why would Washington give up their first 3 picks this year and their first two picks next year just to move up two spots? That is crazy. If their GM did that then he should be fired on the spot. The trade chart is 400 points. All they need to give up is their 2nd round pick. No way in hell that trade is happening.
The Chicago trade is close but I doubt they would do that for DeCastro when they can stay put and take Osemele or take Brandon Washington in the 2nd round. While these two players may not be as good as DeCastro they are not too far behind. And at least they can play another position on the line. That is very valuable when you consider injuries.
I do not see Dallas moving up two spots (100 points) and giving up their 2013 first rounder either. All they need to give is their 3rd round pick and that should be more than enough. If they were going to trade a future pick then it would be their 2nd. I seriously doubt they give up that much.
Maybe these teams would do it but if I am a fan of any of these teams I would be pissed.
Otherwise not bad. As a Vikings fan I will say that the 3rd round pick is not going to happen. I think it is safe to say that the Vikings are pretty set at DE.
I think I would go …
Matt Kalil OT
Stephon Gilmore CB/FS
Keenan Robinson LB
Alameda Ta’amu DT
Casey Hayward CB
Brandon Taylor SS
thier is know way the the lions would trade a 3rd pick to move up for the player you drafted in the 2rd hears how ithink the lions will draft this year .
1rd peter konz c wisconin as bpa at the center spot that will be pick
2rd doug martin rb boise stae as bpa at rb a need for beause of best head injuerys
3rd mike adams ot ohiostate as bpa at ot
4rd mychal kendricks ilb calforina as bpa
5rd chase minnifield cb virgina as bpa
7rd josh norman cb costal carolina caught lions eye at bowel game would macke agreat late rd pick for the lions .
I hear ya
Lions are getting screwed with that trade. At least buy them dinner first or use lube or something…
other than that, big kudos for doing a full mock. I voted yes in the poll just for the time and effort you put into this. Whenever I try to make a mock, my brain starts hurting after 18 picks.
Happier than a pig in shit that I was wrong about Matthew Stafford since 2009!
Go Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons!
Lions picks
Good work on your mock, it’s hard to predict every team, especially not knowing the team up close and personal.
The Lions problems: OLT Backus (age, injuries, and big money) He may not be back this year, so the Lions may go for 1 of the top 3 OLT if available. Tulloch also won’t take a 1 year deal again, and he was paid 3.4 mil last year, so more money on him may also be the reason the Lions take Dont’s Hightower in the 1st rd. I believe 2 OLT in the 2nd rd are worthy of picks, Nate Potter or Mike Adams. Those 1st 2 picks will save the Lions big money in the future because they will be spending alot on Calvin Johnson soon. They need to cut some salaries someplace, I’d think those 2 spots are most needed.
3rd rd pick Shaun Prater- CB Iowa- 5’10"/ 185 lbs.
The Lions may also sign CB C. Finnegan(played for Schwartz b4) FA from Titans, this would help them improve the DB’s.
Best is rumored to not come back also, Consussion issues, I’d think a RB will also be drafted in the 4th rd. Doug Martin if Avail.
The Lions do pick the BPA, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them move up for a player in the 2nd or 3rd rd if they really like hiim.
I love the Titans draft
Also great job going seven rounds

Bengals
Could be much better. Also just an FYI we have NE’s 5th round pick (Ochocinco trade)
should be much better
1 Peter Konz C/G Wisconsin
1 Michael Brockers DT L.S.U
2 Trumaine Johnson CB Montana
3 Casey Hayward CB Vanderbilt
4 Tauren Poole RB Tennesee
5 Markus Zusevics RT/G Iowa
5 Marquis Maze WR/PR Alabama
6 B.J. Cunningham- WR Michigan State
7 Kelcie McCray SS Arkansas State
So you don't like running backs I see.
I love that the Bengals were able to pick up Lamar Miller in Round 2, but somehow I doubt there is only 2 backs taken in the first 53 picks.
I like Tauren Poole and have watched all these players play
Love Richardson but no way he falls to us, Miller and Marin are are reaches at 21 and I’m unimpressed with any of the first round CB that we’ll be left with so I went BPA and they’ll be gone by 53 Polk & Pierce would be available but I actually think CB is more important at 53 where there’ll be a few to choose from. Our best senario would be for the Eagles to trade up to 21 with their 46 & 51 picks and we give them our 5th round pick from Pats as well. If Ray Graham from Pitt had declared he was my pick
The Cowboys would give up a first round pick to move up two spots?
As a Seahawks fan, I’m on board, but that seems suspect. What makes Dre Kirkpatrick such an upgrade from Alfonzo Dennard?
niners need a safety, even if goldson comes back
"You know whats funny? I always thought uhm dogs lay eggs and I learned something new today" Peter Griffin
Zebrie Sanders?
So after ending the season as a second round pick, and then going to the senior bowl and getting worked over by every player he faced, and then getting spanked again in the game itself, you have the Chargers taking Sanders at 18th overall? That was a terrible reach of a pick a month ago before he got exposed. Now he looks like a mid round pick who is going to need a year or more in an NFL strength and conditioning program before he’s ready to compete. 18th overall? Are you serious?
First Trade
Why would the Redskins trade up with the Browns for Griffin when the Browns, unless they acquire Flynn, are the only other team in the top 7 (outside of Indy) who needs a QB. You have the Redskins mortgaging their franchise to move up two spots and skip over a team that already has its franchise QB. Furthermore you have Chicago trading away its first for a guard and Dallas trading away its first to move two spots… really?
While I don't like the Steelers picks, I know how much work a 7 round mock takes so you got a rec from me
For future mocks, you should have the Steelers take a NT earlier. Also, in the 2nd round, I could not see the Steelers passing on Burfict and in round 3 there is no chance they would pass on Poe. Also, WR won’t be addressed until much later in the draft, if at all

Don’t you hate Burfict though?
Flacco has to trust his receivers to make catches, but shouldn’t throw towards coverage. He needs to attack deep more often, but shouldn’t hold onto the ball so long. He needs to show more awareness in the pocket and move to extend plays, but nothing good comes of him leaving the pocket. He should run with the ball if nobody’s open, but he definitely can’t run with the ball.
Flacco should have the awareness of Roethlisberger, the elusiveness of Vick, the control of the offense of Manning, the leadership of Brady, the accuracy of Brees, and the arm strength of … Flacco? - Ampallang
Did you realize what you were doing with the Jets draft?
No offense, but seriously. A double dip at RB when we’re hanging on to Shonn Greene, Joe Mcknight, and Bilal Powell? No team needs 4 or 5 capable RBs. Also, a DT and DE? That’s depth where it’s not needed, when there are multiple needs to fix. This is bad, really bad for the Jets.
cowboys trade 2 first round picks to move up 2 spots to pick a kid who just got arrested?!?!?
i would buy a plane ticket to dallas, knock on the door of the jones’ mansion, and when he answers i would promptly punch him in the mouth
Demarcus Ware- making Sheli Manning piss his pants since 2005
Actually, that would be a crazy Jerry Jones move that he would be completely capable of making

Vikings
Rec’d for the time and effort in putting this together.
I love the fact that Kalil fell to us at 3. That’s pretty much the concensus pick over at the Daily Norseman.
I do not love the Sanu pick in the 2nd. Not that I don’t like Sanu, I just think the Vikes have too many holes on the defense to ignore it early in the draft. The way your board played out I would much rather have Stephen Gilmore here. Darkhorse: Bobby Wagner.
As MarkSP18 already pointed out, I doubt we go DE this early, word out of Mobile is that our new DC fell in love with Cam Johnson, so maybe him in the 4th. But in the 3rd I would look at Safety, linebacker, guard and possibly WR. I would even consider Casey Hayward here, but you have in available in the 6th.
4th round. I am very surprised that Poe is available. So is Josh Chapman and Alameda Ta’amu. Of those 3 I have seen Chapman and Ta’amu on multiple occassions, I would go with Ta’amu.
5th round. I like Pierce a lot. I even like the idea of adding a later round RB for depth. But if the Vikes miss out on Bobby Wagner, I would easily take FSU’s Nigel Bradham here.
6th round. I believe the Vikings are due Cleveland’s pick for the Jayme Mitchell trade. So I would JUMP at the opportunity to draft Casey Hayward here.
7th round. Plenty of talent left on the board. I personally like the Bj Cunningham pick. Criner would have been nice too. But since I passed on Pierce, I would also look at Lennon Creer with this pick.

Wait.
If the Browns aren’t going to take RG3, why would the Redskins feel the need to trade up? The Bucs aren’t taking him.
Steel Nick
the browns will take rgIII
IF he drops to #4. but he has the Redskins jumping to #2 guaranteeing RGIII

I actually see Cleveland picking RGIII then immediately trading him, ie like the Manning – Rivers trade. That way Cleveland guarentees one of two things. Either they get someone who the Front office thinks will be they guy or they guarentee someone will want to trade for him – either way they win, right.
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist....
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong!

Don’t care too much for the Browns draft. We could use players anywhere but DB and DT are two of our better positions, I would use those picks somewhere else.

Saints
A WR and QB before a DE, and a K, but no DT, OT or S? No thanks. Also, I believe we swapped 6th round picks with the Dolphins (Reggie Bush trade)
Drew Brees- the REAL MVP.
No
Stl Rams and Colts will alternate 1st and 2nd picks every round. So Rams pick 1st in the 2nd, 4th, and 6th rounds. The Browns or Redskins will trade up to get RG3 with the Rams 2nd pick in the first round.

Colts
First, I don’t think some of the people that you have dropping drop that far. But according to who is available in your draft I think the Colts draft should be a lot different
1. A. Luck
2. Mohammad Sanu
3. Trumaire Johnson
4. Dontari Poe
5. Ryan Miller
6. Casey Hayward
7. Miles Burris
Yeah, no way DTs like Poe, Chapman, Ta'amu fall all the way to the 4th round

Rams
If that is the Skins offer, then there is no way the Rams pass on it. JMHO, they have too many holes to fill to pass on that kind of value.
I do not see them taking a CB in the 2nd with a guy like Sanu still on the board. The Rams’ CBs last year were ridiculous with injuries last year, a complete fluke.
at the 2nd pick in the draft
Blackmon is not good enough. he is no megatron. not even AJ green. Kalil or trade the pick in this ram’s fan eyes

Cannot have a Jets draft where they don't take a safety.
But I like Ingram and Winn. Don’t like James though, much rather go Wilson, Martin, or Polk.
Cardinals
Two tackles and two wide receivers in 6 picks. A bit too fixated. Whisenhunt won’t draft that way. Not that they couldn’t use two new tackles, because they really do need them.
Seahawks
I don’t know if this was mentioned yet, but the Cowboys trading up 2 spots and taking a CB I can see, but if the Seahawks are also targeting a CB, I cant see them making that deal… and for the Cowboys to move up 2 spots and having to give away 2013 1st I cant see, likely done deal with 2012 3rd round pick and pick 14. The only way they do that is if they think the Cards are taking Kirkpatrick which I don’t see happening.
As for Dennard, honestly I’m ok with that… sure I’d rather have DE, OLB in that spot (Ingram, Brown or Mercilus). Overall though decent job… it’s tougher than I thought it would be (mocking draft with trades).
