2012 Players All-Star Classic: Players to Watch this week

In the third postseason college all-star game in as many weeks, players are gathered in Arkansas this week for the 2012 Players All-Star Classic. Not the most recognizable or prestigious of the postseason festivals, the first installment of the Players All-Star Classic features a handful of intriguing prospects for April's NFL Draft.

After the jump, we'll take a look at some of the players to watch during the week of practice, leading up to Saturday's 4 p.m. kickoff.

Star-divide

1. Jacquies Smith, DE, Missouri - Jacquies Smith is a talented defensive end out of Missouri. Not quite the prospect Aldon Smith was a year ago, Jacquies Smith doesn't have the physical ability of some of the top defensive ends in his class. Smith does, however, have some solid production to lean on. At 6-feet-2-inches tall and 255 pounds, Smith may be a decent fit at outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense.

2. Aaron Corp, QB, RIchmond - Aaron Corp was forced to transfer from USC to Richmond after being buried on the Trojans' depth chart. Corp has NFL size and arm strength. it will be interesting to see how he stacks up this week. He's late-round sleeper quarterback.

3. Michael Smith, RB, Utah State - Running backs are traditionally found in the later rounds, and Smith could be one of the biggest sleepers of this draft. At 5-feet-8-inches tall and 208 pounds, Smith reportedly wowed at the weigh-ins. Smith didn't receive a ton of playing time for the Aggies, so this week is his chance to shine. We'll see if he can rise to the occasion.

4.Julian Talley, WR, UMass - Julian Talley will have plenty of eyes on him this week, and he has Victor Cruz to thank for that. However, Talley is a solid receiver all on his own. He possesses the best hands of anyone on either roster, and this game will give him a chance to put himself on the map.

5. Dominique Davis, QB, East Carolina - Dominique Davis has shown flashes of brilliance throughout his career, but he is too inconsistent to be considered much more than a project quarterback at this point. The athletically gifted signal caller will be fun to watch this week, at the very least.
