Saturday NFL Draft links to click
Don't worry, we're totally having a full blown watch notes post for the BBVA Compass Bowl later today. It may or may not have puns. Now, exactly three links!
ESPN.com - Colts should pick Griffin, not Luck
This is just absurd and writer Jemele Hill (whom I generally like) doesn't really have a tangible point. The 3,000+ comments are worth a read, though.
NFL Mocks Q&A with me!
This week, I answered some questions about players who have been help/hut by their bowl performance, Houston wide receiver Patrick Edwards and the quality of this year's draft class.
Buffalo Rumblings - Stevie Johnson's place in a weak 2008 NFL Draft receiver class
Think back to the 2008 NFL Draft. The Buffalo Bills had a moribund passing attack, had no legitimate No. 2 receiving option after a two-year experiment with Peerless Price fizzled out, and were looking for a red zone complement to speedy top receiver Lee Evans.

Wow, William’s piece is horrible and Stewart and Bayless were off-base in the imbedded video. Luck is the best for the Colts because of he fits their offensive system, which limits the rebuilding years because you can use pieces already in place. RGIII fits better in a place like Washington. If the ‘Skins had the first pick, we’d be having a different conversation
Why does everyone keep saying the tradition of QBs is changing?
Is Cam Newton single-handedly changing it with a good rookie season? If anything, teams should still be extra wary about QBs llike Newton, Griffin, etc. Guys like them haven’t really succeeded in the NFL. Josh Freeman looked promising at one point, now he’s awful. Michael Vick gets injured somehow every time he runs, and he’s not even that successful as a passer. Vince young was a failure (I know he had head problems, but it’s not like he’s amazing on the field).
Teams should still be looking for the same things out of QBs, because the positoin has changed only a little bit. I agree that mobility is a plus nowadays more than it used to be, but last time I checked Andrew Luck can seriously run the ball. People just want to make an argument. And ESPN just wants more people reading their stories.
Russell Wilson and Montee Ball: The Greatest QB/RB tandem in College Football history.
Tajh Boyd and Dre' Ellington are the future. Don't count out Sammy Watkins.
