UCF cornerback Josh Robinson enters 2012 NFL Draft

The University of Central Florida announced on Sunday that junior cornerback Josh Robinson will forgo his senior season and enter the 2012 NFL Draft.

"I've been in discussions with the Robinson family over the holidays, and after I met with them Saturday regarding the pros and cons of entering the draft as well as staying in school, the family decided that he wanted to declare for the draft," head coach George O'Leary said in a release. "I wish him well in his future endeavors in the NFL and I hope everything works out for Josh and his family."

Robinson comes off an impressive junior season in which he finished with 48 tackles, two interceptions and 15 pass breakups. He earned first-team All-Conference-USA honors for the year. It was the second year in a row Robinson earned such an honor. As a sophomore, he had 59 tackles, two interceptions and 13 pass breakups.

A three-year starter, Robinson could be the kind of cornerback who could rise throughout the offseason process. He's a consistent cornerback who doesn't give up many big plays. He turned heads in the 2010 Liberty Bowl with a solid performance against Georgia's A.J. Green.

A three-year starter, Robinson could be the kind of cornerback who rises throughout the offseason process.

I agree. He is a good CB, very good tackler, but needs some pro tech training. I could see him as a team’s dime or nickel CB the first year. Will be a very good ST player.

When the job is finished no one remembers how long it took, just how well it was performed.
