First of all congrats on your first mock

Secondly, I think you have Brockers to low, and Burflict to high. Don’t mind the Bills pick, but would rather have Brockers,Floyd,Adams, or even Mercilus there.

Thx

I really struggled with the Bills pick, I just read that they are most likely going back to the 4-3, so I will definitely be changing this pick. The more I think about it, it would make sense for the Bills to trade down. They have a couple if guys that would make a lot of sense for them they can pick up a little later in the first, and someone will want to move up to grab Martin.

If I could redo I would probably have them trade down.. and try to pick up Michael Floyd or Mike Adams.

Thanks for the feedback.

It's no biggie

and even switching back to the 4-3,Upshaw could still be in play for the Bills. I think it depends on the combine. If he shows the athletic ability to play SLB, then he could very well be a Bill IMO.

Also just so you know

A lot of bills fans like Upshaw,so it’s not like you’ll be panned for the pick.

If you want to be accurate

The Bills never trade down, ever. Even if we’re in a lousy spot for our needs, we will reach slightly to take “our guy” if he’s available.

If Upshaw could play DE in a 4-3, I’d go ahead and pick him, since right now our depth at the RDE position is Shawne Merriman (played like 3 games the past two years) and Kyle Moore (Who? Exactly).

Did not know the Bills dont trade down.

by Andrew9er on Feb 2, 2012 8:40 AM EST up reply actions

It isn’t that they don’t or wouldn’t ever. They have just shown that they are really willing to reach for “their guy”, instead of trading back.

Giants

If Zach Brown runs a ridiculous 40 at the combine, I can see the pick. Or if they somehow see him at MIKE. But our roster is full at WILL and we do not place a high value on linebackers.

2012 NYG mock - 1: Janoris Jenkins CB, 2: Kevin Zeitler G, 3: A.J. Jenkins, WR, 4: Neiko Thorpe S, 5: Vick Ballard RB, 6: Rishard Matthews WR, 6: some random LB, 7: BPA

Kendall Wright is not a fit for the Texans offense

We’ll gladly take Mohammed Sanu instead

Titans

Like the pick, there is only 1 guy that was drafted after the Titans pick that if Konz wasnt there and thats Mark Barron. Some other guys that would have been nice if they fell DeCastro, Mercilus, Jeffery or Perry.

Would like to see an added 2nd round to this, and most of us over at MCM are pretty high on McNutt WR from Iowa as a 2nd round pick.

Bengals

I gave them BPA at positions of need, think that would be a solid hall for them. Was also thinking maybe a WR as well.

by Andrew9er on Feb 2, 2012 8:33 AM EST up reply actions

Chargers

Like the pick, but would have preferred Jeffery. I do not think Jeffery is going to drop the far, but if he does CHI better plan on trading ahead of SD because the Chargers I think would draft him.

Chargers

I can see that. It all depends on VJAX if he comes back, I think they look somewhere else as Vincent Brown showed some solid potential last yr. If VJAX does not come back, then this would be a WR.

by Andrew9er on Feb 2, 2012 8:34 AM EST up reply actions

Broncos

I think the Broncos will definitely look at CB in this draft but there were concerns with Dennard about his speed and against the deepball prior to the Senior Bowl and some of these fears were confirmed.
I dont think this causes him to drop too much but I think it takes him out of 1st round reckoning and into the mid 2nd.
Using your board my pick would be Brockers.

Jets

Still makes no sense for us. DL is one of the strongest and deepest positions of our team. We drafted 2 DLs last year, one in the first round. We don’t need to spend another first round pick on the position, and Still isn’t dynamic enough of a player to override that.

by Crackback on Feb 2, 2012 7:48 AM EST reply actions

Jets

Wilkerson did not do much in his first year, and the Jets struggled to get pressure on the passer. I think Still would help in this area. The other player I considered in this spot was Mark Barron.

by Andrew9er on Feb 2, 2012 8:38 AM EST up reply actions

Ravens

Horrible pick. TE is near the bottom of our needs as we just drafted 2 TE’s 2 years ago and both play extensively. Hightower would probably be the pick in this scenario.

On Ed Reed:

"We all learn from each other, but we all learn most from him."

by AV23 on Feb 2, 2012 7:57 AM EST reply actions

Fleener

I think after the combine, Fleener would be in play here. The Ravens do not have a dynamic TE and Fleener could become just that. With Smith, Boldin, and Fleener it would give opposing defenses to much to handle.

If not Fleener, I would have picked Hightower, he was the other guy I was considering at that spot.

by Andrew9er on Feb 2, 2012 8:37 AM EST up reply actions

I can pretty much guarantee we will not draft a TE in the first. The organization is very high on Dickson and Pitta. Dickson has the speed and size to give teams problems and stretch the field, while Pitta has some of the better hands in the league and is a very good route runner. Very few teams are in as good of a situation as we are at TE and Pitta is probably Flacco’s favorite target.

From a receiving standpoint we need a big WR much more than we need a TE.

Definitely. I would put TE at the very bottom of the list. Both our TE are as dynamic as they come.

Just dumb to even think of something like this. Pitta and Dickson are up there with Gronk and Hernandez as one of the best TE combos in the league.

No chance.

That’s only because their aren’t any great TE duos aside from Gronk/Hernandez. Pitta and Dickson are sooo far behind Gronk/Hernandez that’s it’s actually sad that you even compared them.

Yeaaaah it is a matter of opinion and such

But I just can’t see how Wright is the #1 WR in this draft class. I have him at #4 Behind Blackmon, Floyd, and Jeffery.

Cleveland trades with Washington (RGIII) to #6, then Trades with the Jags (Blackmon) to #7. Takes Decastro with the #7, Jeffery with the #22. grabs Sanu with their 2nd, and Minnefield with the extra 2nd from Washington.

I like the Burfict pick. However, I haven’t seen anyone else besides me mock him to the Lions, or even admit he is a possibility, so I want to know what caused you to mock him to them?

Lions

The Lions D really needs a couple of playmakers that are not members of the DL. I was looking to draft a CB and would have taken Jenkins if he was their. I think Vontze has a chance to be a pretty special player and would make a lot sense for the Lions.

Thats way too much to trade back into the first round & wont have to give that much to do it. Granted Cleveland would have traded down twice already with Washington and Jacksonville. so we’d have the picks, but the extras would be of high 2nd round value, so a 2012, 2nd, 3rd & 4th (these picks aquired by trades) would do it. But I would never trade back into the the first for Richardson- EVER.

  1. Cleveland takes Decastro,
  2. Perry or Mercilus
  3. Jeffery
