I can't see the Texans going with an OLB in the 2nd even if they don't resign Mario

At that spot, I think they’d like Zeitler, Streeter, or Wolfe instead, with Wolfe being the odds on favorite since Ta’amu just came off the board one pick before. No problem with Alshon Jeffery in the 1st though. Andre Johnson should be able to get him in shape, ready for the season, & be a good role model for him

Rams

If this happened then it would be a successful 2 rounds for us. There might be some mad about no OT but I think we just have to get a FA. Good Job..

We wouldn’t have to give up that much to get him he’ll still be there at 11. Richardson may fall anyway. If not

Good draft, but I don’t think the deal happens without Washington’s #1 next year. Won’t just be #5, their #2 in 12 and 13

With those free agent signings

Who else is going to move up? Maybe Cleveland and Washington get in a bidding war.

Eagles

This would be an awesome draft. Kuechly can become the leader of our defense, drafting Martin we can move Nate Allen to SS where he might be better suited, and Bobby Wagner can start next to Luke at SAM. This would be amazing, but unrealistic. We need to use one of these picks of WR because DeSean is gone.

Broncos

Konz is the best player on the board and there are still doubts over Walton and Beadles who are very inconsistent. Konz would be a better starter than both of them. This wont be the most popular pick as there are still holes on the roster and positions elsewhere which the Broncos need to get younger but I would understand the logic if the Broncos went with this pick.
Ta’amu for me would be a good rotation with Bunkley, if he is resigned but personally have others still left with higher grades, notably Doug Martin.

I could live with it.

Not my favourite scenario but reasonable.

It will cost Washington more than you suggest to acquire the #2 overall pick and Griffin. Should be at least two #1s.

I still hold out that Manning returns to the Colts or is unable to play ever again but we’ll have to see.

The only time you really want to use "myself" is when you are the recipient of your own action. Usually you're better off using "me."

Giants, free agents

While we like our Troy guys, Massaquoi is a little small for us at DE and we don’t value SAM that much. He would have to have a really good combine to go to the Giants that high.

I like Forte to the Browns and Colston to the Jags, moves make sense.

My QB has 2 rings. Well, 3 if you want to get technical.

2012 NYG mock - 1: Dwayne Allen TE, 2: Brandon Boykin CB/RS, 3: A.J. Jenkins WR, 4: Vick Ballard RB, 5: Neiko Thorpe S, 6: Rishard Matthews WR/RS, 6: Blake DeChristopher G/T, 7: BPA

he’s not even a SAM, he’s an OLB in Georgia’s 3-4. Maybe the Giants need an LBeezer, but why just draft one cuz he’s listed as one? Terrible pick.

And signing Mario Williams, they have two ends already who are good at rushing the passer. I don’t believe he will end up there, one the ownership won’t spend that type of money and two they already have two solid ends.

Pats

They won’t go for Barron. Even before the news of his surgery broke, this is a safety who can’t do man-coverage at all who;s had some behavioral issues. Furthermore, and maybe most importantly, the Pats need to get younger at WR and DT/DE- not Safety. The Pats are if anything too young in the secondary and could use a veteran FA like Michael Griffin.

If Brockers or Fletcher Cox are available at 27th overall, they’ll jump for it. The same with C Peter Konz I think, DE/OLB Nick Perry, and defintiely a WR if no one else. Wes Welker is really a slot-receiver who’s 31, Deion Branch is wearing out and is either gone this year or next year, and Chad Johnson is also in the 30+ WR Club. Pats don’t have much talent after that. WR and DT/DE are draft priorities in the 1st-3rd rounds. I won’t be surprised if Pats go for 2 WRs.

If Alfonzo Dennard is available at 31st overall and no one more impressive, Pats will trade back into the 2nd/3rd round and 2013. Did you see the fight he got into with Jeffery? That’s concerning. There will be at least one team interested in getting the best TE in the draft before the Giants/Colts have a shot at him. I suspect it could be the Eagles.

that was a though pick

I wanted to give them Blackmon but i had them wait since this draft is deep in 1st-2nd round WRs. I probably would have gone with Richardson, but they signed Forte. I dont think they would trade up for RGIII, so they missed out and are going with McCoy for at least another year. I also thought about having them trade back, which they are very fond of doing, but i couldnt think of a trade partner. It is clear that there offense is what needs focus. and the right side of their line is Terrible. Reiff is probably the best player on the board an he doesnt have any problems playing LT. Him and Thomas would make the best OT pair in the league and he could fill in at LT if Thomas ever gets hurt.

Lions

not bad but if the board fell this way and Glenn would be still be a good pick if we got a C later in the draft. Like 3rd round maybe Molk from Mich.

But I highly doubt that they would let Boykin slide by them in in the 2nd if he is there and depending on if we resign Tulloch or not Burflct would be a better pick.

by Riddlah. on Feb 11, 2012 4:52 PM EST up reply actions

I can see from your comment that you aren’t particularly smart, so I’m going to try and lay this out nice and simple for you.

1. If you think that Harrison is the dirtiest player in the league then you either don’t watch football or you are too stupid to look at the actual facts and see past the crap that ESPN spews. The only reason people consider Harrison a dirty player is because he is a supposed “head hunter”, which couldn’t be further from the truth. In the past few years, he’s only been fined for two H2H hits, both of which were bang-bang players. Hell, even most NFL players agree that the rules that Goodell is implementing are awful and against everything that the NFL stands for. In fact, last year after Harrison was fined once again for a bogus roughing the passer call, players were coming out and stating that they would rather take a few concussions and permanent brain damage than an ACL tear (which is what is going to happen more often with Goodell’s rules). Not to mention the fact that ex-NFL players (and a lot of Hall of Famers) love Harrison and how he plays the game, and even go as far as saying he would fit in with the NFL in the 1970s.

2. Ben isn’t a rapist (not “rapest”). He was accused of rape, but this is America and people are innocent until proven guilty, no matter what you want to believe.

But I bet you wouldn’t let Ben anywhere near your sister.

I would gladly invite Ben into my home to have dinner with my family, and that includes my mom, my sister, my female cousins, etc., because if he had raped anyone there would have been evidence of it. I could go on and on about the facts of the case which clearly show that Ben is innocent (because unlike you I actually read up on both incidents), but you wouldn’t listen anyways.

There’s innocent until proven guilty and then there’s beating the rap.

Who are you to say he “beat the rap”? If you have evidence that proves he’s guilty then I suggest you turn it into the police, but if you don’t I suggest you shut the fuck up and accept that fact that I’m right and you are wrong.

Someone got defensive

thats why i didnt want to say them in the first place. and on your points
1- it doesnt matter what you or others think about him, the fact is the guy breaks the rules and intentionally tries to hurt people. maybe you dont like the dirtiest player label, well who would you give it to?
2- getting on someone over a typo, the act of a desperate man. the fact is he was accused of it twice, you think thats a coincidence? So it wasnt proven, well guess what, most rapes aren’t. Do you have any idea how often rape is dismissed? it is one of the hardest thing to prove.

1. James Harrison is short. Its pretty difficult for him to H2H anybody. Go back and watch the Massaquoi hit and you will see that Mass ducks his head into Harrisons who is aiming right for the chest. If you honestly think Harrison is a head hunter, then why has it only happened twice in the last couple seasons, surely he would be head hunting on every hit he makes? No, ESPN labels him a Head hunter and everyone buys the media hype and applies it

2. The first incident was a civil case, or in other words “pay me and I will shut up” case, and next to no evidence or even convincing story was brought to the table. Innocent till proven guilty. The second case is a bit more iffy, and i will admit it doesnt look good, but again no real evidence means innocent. No one will know what really happened in that bathroom and guess what? Its not our business, and its not up to us to determine innocent from guilty either.

Don’t buy into “the hype” that SF is taking a WR, definitely not going to reach for Jones, there are quite a few gems in this draft, WR is the strongest position this year. I do like the Boykins pick.

well it's hard to think of much else that SF needs

and WR is deep, but most of that has been taken already, and i think Jones will fly up the board. UNC has been very good at putting out WRs lately and Jones has a very good combination of size and speed. Could be like a bigger and faster Nicks.

Don't worry about the past

Also don’t worry too much about corner unless Carlos Rogers leaves. If he stays we’re only looking for a #4 or #5 guy to fill in the roster.

Just keep in mind we draft what we call “gold star guys” — high work ethic, high football character, and most important, scheme fits.

So going down a list of needs with a grocery list and ticking them off isn’t very likely to yield accurate results.

Bills

Ignoring that I like Upshaw a little better then Ingram, the pick I have a problem with is Fleener. It’s not that he isn’t he isn’t an excellent TE, it’s that he is a tight end. I know it is a position of need on just about everyone’s list for the Bills, but Gailey doesn’t really use them. Outside of the year he was working with Tony Gonzalez of course. I just can’t see the Bills drafting a TE that high because of that. I would look at Toon, Tannehill, Curry, or Irvin their.

Bucs

Love the 1st pick but not the 2nd. David is undersize. I know he plays big and violently but i’d rather have Miller in that spot if we dont go with Burfict.

Trust. Belief. Accountability. The new Buc way as pronounced by Coach Schiano.

Jags

Coples is good but I prefer Gilmore in the second

forgot to mention

Colston would be a nice addition to the WR group.

Jets

I doubt we go Perry with a typical 3-4 OLB in Upshaw at 16, and I don’t want a QB in the 2nd.

Seattle

I could live with those picks… I’m not sold on Still but a pass rusher from DT is certainly needed, and cant fault that thinking. Lewis in the 2nd? Ummm yes please!!! Well done.

Panthers

I have been scheming for weeks with no succes on how we could get Kirpatrick and Brown without giving up a first-rounder next year. Looks like you have suceeded! I think you made a very interesting deal that is not overly homerific for the Panthers, though we might need to throw in a late pick next year. I just still don’t see Mike Brown and the Bengals giving up that second first round pick, depspite the pluses they could get in return (Richardson and a high second rounder). I will be on standby to go streaking however if they do manage to pull this deal off!

we could try to sweeten the deal a little more

since we are getting Kirk and they are also in the market for a CB we can give them one of our CBs. Maybe give them Butler. Not ground breaking but he is a very solid nickle and i think has 4th round value.

I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was
