1st Round Mock
My 2nd attempt at this. I tried to listen to advice from others from the 1st time around and put it to use. Thanks to all who helped influence this. Jump.
1) Indy - Andrew Luck QB - I think this one is a given.
2) Wash. from S.L.(for #s 6,70 & 2013 1st round pick)- Robert Griffith III QB - Shanahan and Fisher have a great repertoire with each other. It's a matter of whether they think Kalil is a must have LT for them. If they do Minn. will make the deal.
3) Minn.-Matt Kalil OT
4) Clev.- Trent Richardson RB
5) T.B.- Morris Claiborne CB
6) S.L.- Justin Blackmon WR
7) Jax - Riley Reiff OT
8) Car.- Quinton Coples DE
9) Miami - Melvin Ingram DE/OLB
10) Buff.- Jonathan Martin OT
11) K.C.- David DeCastro OG
12) Sea.- Devon Still DT
13) Ariz.- Nick Perry DE/OLB
14) Dal.- Dre Kirkpatrick CB
15) Phil.- Luke Kuechly ILB
16) N.Y.J.- Courtney Upshaw DE/OLB
17) Cincy - Janoris Jenkins CB
18) S.D.- Dontari Poe NT
19) Chic.- Michael Floyd WR
20) Tenn.- Michael Brockers DT
21) Cincy - Lamar Miller RB
22) Clev.- Kendall Wright WR
23) Det.- Mike Adams OT
24) Pitt.- Cordy Glenn OG
25) S.F. from Den.(#s 30 & 62 for #s 25 & 88)- Peter Konz C
26) Hou.- Alshon Jeffrey WR
27) N.E.- Mohamed Sanu WR
28) G.B.- Whitney Mercilus OLB/DE
29) Balt.- Dont'a Hightower ILB
30) Den. from S.F.- Fletcher Cox DE/DT
31) N.E.- Chase Minnifield CB
32) N.Y.G.- Alphonzo Dennard CB
Please let me know what you think. Maybe I can amend the bad points.

Why would Miami take Luke Kuechly? They’ve got Karlos Dansby as well as Kevin Burnett. Surely they could draft a player that could help shore up a bigger need.
I also really hate the Eagles pick. Why do we need a DT? We don’t have enough spots for all the guys on our roster as it is. The Eagles have 5 defensive tackles who could be and have been starters in the past along with Cedric Thornton waiting in the wings (and he had one heckuva pre-season and training camp). No me gusta. Give us a linebacker.

bad pick. Sure a WR is needed, but taking Blackmon would represent awful value with the pick. Jonathan Martin would be the pick in my opinion.

I’d be okay with Perry as the pick. Maybe a bit of a reach, at least IMO, but he is a good pass rushing prospect. My only worry is if he’ll be able to hold his own in pass coverage, which our defensive scheme calls for the OLBs to be about 25% of the time

Pats. Why does everyone like the Pats grabbing Barron?
Barron was overrated even before news of his surgery broke. 1st-round Safeties should have some competency or ability for man-coverage.
I don’t see them going for Alphonza Dennard at 31st- too many character issues. Chase Minnifield is more likely or WR Mohamed Sanu to add youthful-talent to the aging receiver corps. But far more likely, the Pats trade-back,
It is what it is
Better,
I’m still not sold on Jeffery due to his professional reputation, or lackthereof, but it makes more sense. Especially since the Pats will probably make a run at Michael Griffin for S.
Minnifield would be reunited with former teammate Ras-i Dowling.
It is what it is
This is probably the worst case scenario for the Giants, and it was the best possible pick for them given
the top 4 CBs (Kirkpatrick, Claiborne, Jenkins, Dennard), the top 4 WRs (Wright, Blackmon, Jeffery, Floyd), the TE (Allen), the top LB (Kuechly), the top 2 DEs (Mercilus, Coples), the top S (Barron) , the top 2 RBs (Miller, Richardson) are gone.
I wouldn’t mind Zach Brown at all. In this scenario, I would also consider Sanu and Minnifield as well.

It was a good pick there
CB talent was the top left on the board.
My QB has 2 rings. Well, 3 if you want to get technical.
2012 NYG mock - 1: Dwayne Allen TE, 2: Brandon Boykin CB/RS, 3: A.J. Jenkins WR, 4: Vick Ballard RB, 5: Neiko Thorpe S, 6: Rishard Matthews WR/RS, 6: Blake DeChristopher G/T, 7: BPA
Why is Baltimore taking a TE in the first?
We arguably have the best TE duo in the league behind Gronk/Hernandez.
TE is by far our smallest need, wouldn’t even call it a need at all.
"Picture Me Rollin"
GB took him.
You like Hightower?
"I am not better than anyone else just because I play football."
Tim Tebow
Yea, that’s a good pick. Barron might not be a bad idea either.
But I’ll tell you this much, Steeler fans are not going to like the Allen pick.
"Picture Me Rollin"
Why?
Saunders is suspended and Miller is mostly a blocker.
"I am not better than anyone else just because I play football."
Tim Tebow
The reason it seems Miller is mostly a blocker is
A he is used as a blocker a lot of the time and B when Arians allowed him to run routes they mostly were check downs, a term Ben hasn’t heard of
I'm getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.
"It would be tough for me to care less about their opinion, to be honest with you." Mike Tomlin
Why would Cincy pick Poe?
A lot more holes to fill first, and isn’t he a 3-4 NT? With Barron, Miller and Glenn still left (and it would be a shock to see any of them gone before the Bengals pick the 2nd time, should use that first pick on Jenkins) why draft a misplaced DT with so many holes to fill?
Try not to take the above message too seriously.
To be truthful
it was so SD didn’t get him. LOL
Does Cincy need Adams?
"I am not better than anyone else just because I play football."
Tim Tebow
Wow, you're responsive
Do you rework the entire draft to accommodate everyone? That’s working hard and it’s an interesting experiment. I like your style and I’m interested to see where this goes. You get a rec from me. And yes, that would look much more suitable given the options and current holes (prior to FA).
Try not to take the above message too seriously.
I've been trying to accommodate the requests, yeah.
Thanks for the rec.

Tim Tebow
Why are the Steelers taking a TE in round 1?
Heath Miller is a top 10 TE and Haley is going to use him and Johnson is a good H-Back/TE2 and Saunders has a load of potential. Only way we take Allen is if he is there in the 2nd round

Houston is not drafting a Guard over a WR in the 1st round
They’d gladly take Alshon Jeffery at #26 instead

I wouldn't gladly take Jeffery.
I think he’s a risk.
It is what it is
You get him learning from Andre Johnson how to conduct himself as a professional, then I think it's a risk worth taking

that he is fat and slow and can't run NFL routes
and then becomes a useless sack of dung for whatever team takes him

I actually do not recall
I guess that is not good as I try to prove a claim I made as valid, but I know I definitely read it somewhere “reputable” online.

If he's fat & slow
Kubiak could always move him to TE where he’d still be faster than most LBs & too big for most safeties

He is up to around 250
He could easily lose weight and get his speed up again though. Not a true concern.
You're a Broncos fan and you screwed us...
with a gimp like Barron…at a position we don’t need to fix? We got the no. 1 strong safety in the draft last year (Carter) so I can’t see your logic at all. Do-over!

A lot is two words. Allot can be one word but it has another meaning.
The only time you really want to use "myself" is when you are the recipient of your own action. Usually you're better off using "me."
Your is not the correct contraction of you are. The word you're looking for is you're.
It's anyway, not anyways.
But if you only remember one thing...

Barron?

It was Barron before you fixed it, right?
That do-over is better.

Who the fu— is Robert Griffith and why would the ’skins trade up for him?
Trent Richardson at 4?? Laughable.
Once you start comparing a QB to Drew Brees, you've lost the argument.
by TheDriveStillHurts on Feb 12, 2012 11:22 PM EST reply actions
Why wouldn’t Trent Richardson go that high? He is arguably the best prospect in the draft (regardless of positional value of course) and he is probably the best runningback prospect since Adrian Peterson.

Browns fan I take it.
I was wondering if you’d show up to try to help out. I don’t think I can “fix” that one though anyway. That would change everything. Besides do you realyy want Hillis back? He’s a pain in the ass.
"I am not better than anyone else just because I play football."

per Rotoworld
Some want to work toward an extension “of Hillis” while others prefer to part ways and draft Alabama’s Trent Richardson. “I think the draft option will win out,”
