2009 NFL Draft: Centers
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | OC | DT | DE | OLB | ILB | CB | FS | SS | All Rankings
| 1. Alex Mack | 6'4, 314 pounds | California | ||
A big, rugged center, Mack is possibly the best collegiate center since Nick Mangold. He gets after it on every play and will be a starter for a long time in the NFL. |
| 2. Max Unger | 6'5, 305 pounds | Oregon | ||
After transitioning from left tackle, Unger became a regular all-league performer. He's powerful against the run and has the agility to block on the move. |
| 3. Jonathan Luigs | 6'4, 314 pounds | Arkansas | ||
Luigs is probably the most athletic center in this class. He could be a good zone blocking scheme prospect, but he does need to improve his strength. |
| 4. Eric Wood | 6'4, 308 pounds | Louisville | ||
A strong in-line blocker, Wood sometimes struggles when he has to get out on the move. However, he'll be an asset to any team that likes to maul up front. |
