2009 NFL Draft: Defensive Ends

QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | OC | DT | DE | OLB | ILB | CB | FS | SS | All Rankings

1. Brian Orakpo | 6'4, 260 pounds | Texas

Strength and a great initial burst have positioned Orakpo as a top defensive end prospect. He can close quickly on the passer and hold up well against the run.

Scouting Report

2. Everette Brown6'4, 254 pounds | Florida State

He will have to learn a few things in the NFL to become and every-down player, but he has the tools to do so. He finished with 21.5 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.

Scouting Report

3. Michael Johnson | 6'7, 258 pounds | Georgia Tech

Johnson will give whoever drafts him a player who can be molded into an excellent defensive end. He has all the tools, but needs to consistently put it together.

Scouting Report

4.  Tyson Jackson | 6'4, 295 pounds | LSU

A versatile player who could help a team looking for a run-stopping end, especially one that runs a 3-4 defense. Very similar to Chris Canty of the Cowboys.
