2009 NFL Draft: Offensive Tackles

QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | OC | DT | DE | OLB | ILB | CB | FS | SS | All Rankings

1. Michael Oher | 6'5, 315 pounds | Mississippi

Oher is a prototype left tackle prospect. He's light on his feet and excels at pass coverage. While he's still improving as a run blocker, he has all the tools required of an elite tackle.

Scouting Report

2. Jason Smith | 6'5, 300 pounds | Baylor

A converted tight end, Smith has long arms and is naturally light on his feet. He possesses the quickness and agility to handle speed rushers with ease. He'll just have to prove he can block from a three-point stance.

Scouting Report

3. Eugene Monroe6'5, 320 pounds | Virginia

Monroe is a quick and agile left tackle who can easily handle speed rushers. He can also get physical in the run game and can dominate at times.

Scouting Report

4. Andre Smith | 6'4, 340 pounds | Alabama

Smith is a big mauling offensive lineman who was very impressive in the competitive Southeastern Conference. He may be better suited for the right side at the next level, though.

Scouting Report

5. Phil Loadholt | 6'8, 338 pounds | Oklahoma

Loadholt is an intimidating presence on the offensive line. A strong run blocker who can handle the strongest of defensive players. However, he lacks quickness and will likely have to convert to right tackle.

Scouting Report

6. Eben Britton | 6'6, 310 pounds | Arizona

The keys to Britton's game are his intelligence and size. He uses both to overcome a lack of great quickness and lateral agility. He'll be a dependable starter in the right scheme.
