2009 NFL Draft: Tight Ends
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | OC | DT | DE | OLB | ILB | CB | FS | SS | All Rankings
| 1. Brandon Pettigrew | 6'6, 260 pounds | Oklahoma State |
Pettigrew is a complete tight end, similar to Jason Witten of the Dallas Cowboys. He has tremendous size and natural athleticism. Needs to improve from a technical and route running standpoint. |
| 2. Chase Coffman | 6'6, 252 pounds | Missouri | ||
A consistent prospect who routinely finds himself open. Coffman will need to improve some as a blocker, but has the tools to become a great tight end. |
| 3. Jared Cook | 6'5, 240 pounds | South Carolina |
Something of a surprise entrant in the draft, Cook has the athleticism to stretch a defense. He has good hands and can separate from linebackers in coverage. |
| 4. Travis Beckum | 6'3, 237 pounds | Wisconsin | ||
Although he may have to play more of an H-back role at the next level, Beckum has proven to be a playmaker when he's healthy. |
